Brazils most strained

elections of all
The first and second turn of the elections is considered the tenser and most
exciting of the Brazils history. The opponents created different strategies and other
ways to do politics, which urged people to research about the elections.

The first turn of the Brazilians election was marked by the death of
Eduardo Campos in an airplane accident; he was the PSB candidate for
presidency, a party with left wings convictions. Marina Silva replaced the
candidate and started her campaign with advantage, because of the national
commotion. Therefore, the others two candidates Acio Neves (PSDB) and the
current president Dilma Rousseff (PT), candidates of G3 (the 3 biggest
candidates) - had a difficult task, and the three opponents opted for a campaign
with multiples charges and complaints against each other. Marina showed a
conservative side, which displeased the voters and in 5
th
of October, the results
reveled the victory of Dilma with 41,39% of the votes, Acio with 33,55% and
Marina with 21,32% - the others 8 candidates didnt have a considerable vote.
Thus, Dilma and Acio were the candidates with higher quantities of votes and
they will compete in the second turn.
In Paran, mainly Requio (PMDB), Gleisi Hoffmann (PT) and the current
governor Beto Richa (PSDB) disputed the elections
for governor. Requio and Beto Richa invested in
campaign against each other, thing that the
paranaense people are used to it, because the two
candidates are old opponents. However, Beto Richa
was reelected with 55,67% of the votes, and a
second turn wasnt needed.

The second turn of the elections was basically
a battle field between the two candidates, in one
side, Dilma was fighting for the continuation of the
social politics that her government is known for, Beto Richa (PSDB)
and in the other side, the candidate with right wings convictions, want it to
show a new politic. Both opponents fought for Marinas support, but in an
announcement, she decided for the PSDB candidate, and this was a good strategy
for the party. The social midia was an important tool as well, to urge all
population in this election and a way to show the planes of which candidate.
However, it was the responsible for influence and sides choices, which was the
break of all impartiality of the midia in this election. Although the dispute was
tight, with a lot of accusations and excitement, people were felling the lack of
proposal in the debates. However, after all of the assaults, in 26
th
of September
the majority of Brazilians decided that they want it Dilma to carry on as
president with 51,64% of the votes against 48,36% for Acio.
