The Tarkio Jr. High Boys
and Girls Basketball Teams
are dribbling toward the
start of the 2014 season. The
rst game will take place
at Tarkio High School this
Thursday, October 30, 2014,
at 5:30 p.m. and will include
the Tarkio teams facing off
with Nodaway-Holt.
This years boys team is
coached by Robbie Bates.
Eleven ballers have taken to
the court - six seventh grad-
ers and ve eighth graders.
The boys have been work-
ing on zone offense. There
are several boys who have
been playing ball for years
and added with some of
the younger boys talents,
the team should do quite
well. Coach Bates says this
should be an exciting bas-
ketball season!
There are nine girls rep-
resenting Tarkio on the bas-
ketball court this season.
They are being coached by
Keaton Hawkins. All but two
of the girls are eighth grad-
ers and most of them played

basketball last year. The
girls have been refreshing
their basic basketball fun-
damentals during practice,
but are looking strong. The
girls should have a success-
ful season. Coach Hawkins
said every game should be
winnable and he knows the
girls will improve with each
game played.
The jr. high basketball
teams are learning a lot in
preparation for playing high
school ball. These two teams
are denitely ones to watch!

As November 4th approaches, I think about the last few months and feel excited. Its been a whirl-
wind from the moment Mark and I decided I should run for the position of Circuit Clerk.
I have personally walked in every parade to shake hands, attended meetings to ask for your votes,
and walked door to door sharing the value of my experience and answering your questions. I spent my
summer doing what I can to show you that I am the best person for this position and that I am willing
to sacrifce for it. I believe there are two kinds of people in the world. Those who do for themselves
and those who let others do it for them. I am that doer. What you are willing to give and do to fght for
what you want is a direct refection on the type of leader you are.
The offce of Circuit Clerk is an offce of many hats. You have to be as educated as possible in order
to do the job effciently and most of all correctly. My 16 years as Deputy Clerk has taught me that if you
arent continuing that education then you arent doing your job the best it can be done. I have attended
well over 50 courses in those 16 years and put what I have learned to use.
Once again, I am the ONLY person in the Clerks offce who has a track record of this dedication.
I feel the Clerk should be the most educated person in the offce. It is then his or her duty to share that
knowledge with the staff.
My hope is that I have been able to show you all how much this means to me, how much I want this
position, and that I will BE THERE to do it. I feel its my time to take the lead. I love what I do!
On November 4, 2014, all I ask is for you to please vote for the candidate that is most dedicated to
this offce, the candidate who will be dedicated to creating a knowledgeable, accountable, and cross
trained staff, the candidate who is dedicated to being PRESENT in the offce, and the candidate who
will not let personal hobbies interfere with the job you are electing him or her to do. If you do, I am
confdent you will realize I am the best person for the job and ask that you cast your vote accordingly!
There is a time for change and that time is now.
Thank you SOOO much for all for your support!
I also want to especially thank my family and friends who took this journey with me! If you walked
in a parade with me, wore my shirt, displayed my sign, or just told someone I was the right person for
the job, I am more than grateful. You all mean the world to me!
