2011 Summer Volleyball Camp Western Oregon University
Brad Saindon just completed his third season as the leader of the Western Oregon volleyball program. He has compiled a record of 44-31 during his tenure at WOU, including leading the school to its frst-ever Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball championship in 2008 with a 15-1 record in conference play (22-3 overall). In 2010, Saindon led a young Wolves squad to a 12-6 record and a fourth place fnish in the GNAC. Saindon brings a wealth of knowledge as well as the latest and most innovative training and technical ideas to Western Oregon. He organizes his practices and camps with a strong emphasis on active play, where athletes can apply fundamental skills within competition. Before leading the Wolves, Brad served fve years as head coach for the Arizona State University womens volleyball team. His 25 years of collegiate coaching is complimented by 598 international matches including the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the 2002 World Championships, and the 1989 World Cup. Athletes will be split up into groups by their ability and given instruction in specifc fundamentals. They will also learn how to apply those fundamentals in competition. Would you like to play collegev olleyball? This is the camp for you! Athletes will spend two and a half intense days at camp, training for the upper levels of both high school and club volleyball. Emphasis will be on the preparation for higher-level competition with specialized position training. Athletes will receive 15 hours of instruction and competition, where they will apply new volleyball fundamentals and skill.
