I. TITLE : THREE-DAY DIVISION TRAINING of UNTRAINED KINDERGARTEN and
GRADE I TEACHERS on the USE OF 40 WEEK NATIONAL
KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM GUIDE, ADMINISTRATION of ECCD
CHECKLIST, and SReYA, PREPARATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL
MATERIALS.

V. RATIONALE:
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10157, otherwise known as the Kindergarten
Act, which states that Kindergarten Education as the frst stage of compulsory and
mandatory formal education. It is hereby institutionalize as part of the basic education
system following the standards and competencies for 5-year old Filipino children.
Along with the institutionalization of Kindergarten Education, the Department
of Education mandated the use of 40-week National Kindergarten Curriculum Guide
and the administration of ECCD checklist and SReYA.
It is in this avenue therefore, that the Division of Compostela Valley will
conduct a Three-Day Division Training of Untrained Kindergarten and Grade I teacher
son the use of the 40-week National Kindergarten Curriculum with Instructional
Materials and Administration of ECCD checklist and SReYA.
VI. OBJECTIVES:
The said training aims to:
a.Familiarize /orient participants on the use of 40-week National
Kindergarten Curriculum Guide and Administration of ECCD Checklist
and SReYA;
b.Capacitate kinder and Grade I teachers handling Kindergarten classes
on the new trends and strategies in teaching Kindergarten Curriculum
Guide;
c.Prepare instructional materials for classroom instructions; and
d.Conduct workshop on the Administration of ECCD checklist and
SReYA.
VII. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS:
