I. OBJECTIVE

The objective of this package is to detail the safe installation of the new 13.8Kv cables serving the
new #9 Autoclave switchgear. This package will not "Electrically" connect the new cables to the
existing switch. The Termination of the cables to the existing switch will not be performed until all
downstream work has been completed. A separate work package will be issued prior to terminating
the cables to the existing 13.8Kv switch

II. SAFETY


A. When working in substation the adjacent #7 gear will be DEENERGIZED.

B. Testing for absence of voltage shall be performed each time prior to the commencement of work. This
means that each time you leave the work area upon returning to perform work you MUST re-verify that the
equipment is deenergized.

C. During absence of voltage only parties involved directly in the exercise, with Proper PPE, will be allowed
within 15' of task.
