"WEIGHT OF LIVING"
"BASTILLE"
"ANIMATION BY REBEKAH BARONA"
He gets up and begins walking.
He pauses when he arrives at a door.
A backpack is on the floor beside him. He puts it on. Stares
at the door for a beat.
Opens it and walks out.
2 EXT. PARK/FIELD 2
He walks. People passing him by, also wearing backpacks of
different sizes.
A few wave at him and he waves back. One starts walking with
him.
They make it to another door and the person leaves. Finn
pauses while his backpack grows a bit.
He goes through the door.
3 EXT. CITY 3
Around him, there are less people walking.
He keeps walking until he arrives at another door.
He hesitates.
He rummages through his backpack with the intention of
leaving something behind.
He pauses and decides not to.
He faces the door. His backpack grows much larger and he
goes on.
2.
4 BLANK WHITE BACKGROUND 4
Finn is alone. No one else walks.
Finn notices how empty the space is. He looks around and
begins walking slower, his head down.
His backpack grows. He hunches over with the weight of it.
The backpack continues growing and growing.
Finn falls flat.
He sits up, takes off his backpack, and places it on the
ground.
He gets up on his feet and begins to trudge while he drags
his large backpack behind him.
He arrives at a door. It slowly swings it open.
5 EXT. FOREST PATHWAY 5
He goes through the door. He walks for a few moments before
slowing down to a stop.
He swings his backpack from the ground, over his shoulder,
and puts on the other strap.
He hunches over and runs.
His backpack grows once more. Finn trips and falls.
He remains lying on the ground, given up.
Another person walks into frame. He notices Finn and pauses.
He approaches him and offers his hand. Finn sits up,
hesitating.
He takes it and stands up.
The person walks over to Finns fallen backpack, picks it
up, and walks back to Finn, returning it.
Finn takes it and puts it on.
The person begins walking but Finn remains. The person
notices and stops. He turns around, waiting for him.
Finn catches up to him and they walk side by side.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 3.
Finn still feels the weight of his backpack but he no longer
lets it drag him down.
