Deficiency of LEADERSHIP

Two years back, on this day an unknown bullet took life of Ms. Benazir Bhutto. Was it really an unknown
bullet? Parvez Musharraf and his allies blamed Bait U Allah Mehsood for her assassination whereas her
husband Mr. Asif Ali Zardari also claimed of knowledge about her assassins. But yet PPPP government
has failed to simply pinpoint the cause of death. She in her life had written a letter in which she brought
up three names in notice and made them responsible for her assassination but PPPP government is not
so strong to take action against culprits. PPPP Government has done nothing but used her name as
token. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Income Support Program,
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Support Program, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Support Program and
so many other programs have been launched but none of them have succeeded to bring any significant
changes in the lives of poor Pakistanis and Benazir lovers. Unemployment, inflation and political
uncertainty are high‐flying issues of today. Government is helpless to stand at defensive positions. So
many uncontrolled crises are there which dreadfully effects government repute. Instead of satisfying
people’s fundamental requirements, government is failed to manage increasing fuel and electricity
prices, shortage of sugar, load shading, unemployment and political uncertainty. In spite of several
international trips and friends of Pakistan conferences, Government is helpless to seek for IMF Loan.
Government has been spent more on these official trips and conferences than investment. Failure of
governments indicates to its inability and incapacity to overcome the complexities. It shows lack of
leadership and decision making powers. The way of heading the party is not famous in party workers. A
party worker thinks “How long h/she would have to explain the logics behind holding the democratic
decisions like restoration of judges, NRO, 58/2 B and local government.

Where are we going? Pakistan Khapey is not enough to save Pakistan but some practical actions are
need to be taken.

• Serious and sincere actions are needed to be taken to bring the facts of assassination of Ms. Bhutto
in limelight
• Sincere efforts should be taken to minimize the causes of uncertain political situations.
• Accountability system needs to be strengthened and no ministers and advisers should be free from
accountability.
• The music of unpopular decisions should be stopped and strategies to benefit people at grassroots
level should be evolved. These income and support programs under the token of Benazir Bhutto are
such opportunities to benefit some bureaucrats, Ministers and Advisers.

GOD has offered this last chance to PPP MNAs, MPAs and Minister to serve people because now they do
not have any magical leadership to win the hearts. If they will do good, they will get rewards otherwise
they will lose everything.
