This is a 6 panel Digipak of Jay Z and Linkin Park.

The Front Cover indicates clearly as to who and what the CD will be
about. The distinctive design of graffiti/ urban art and use of font, suggests to the audience as to what the genre of the
music will be. The space within this Digipak has been cleverly used, the rules of thirds have been considered. The
Artists names have been placed in the middle third, which is the most obvious location and where the human eye will
look first.

The genre this Digipak belongs to can be established easily, due to the colours used, the font used and the careful
consideration of the placement within the font and the images. This is the aspect of this certain Digipak that I would like
to incorporate into mine. I would like the people who see the Digipak to be able to distinguish what genre the Band
belongs to. This is also unique and extremely appealing to the persons eye, they will feel obliged to purchase this
Album.
It is evident that throughout the Digipak, there is an urban, graffiti theme consistent. As Rap/ Hip Hop are a popular
genre, the audience will be vast for this particular area; this means that the Digipak will receive lots of purchases and
increase the growth in the market. This house style theme is an aspect Id like to incorporate into my Digipak and Advert,
once there is a house style theme established; then it will be put into place. It is evident that the house style theme has
been thought about carefully and will be used further into their Advert.

The track listing in the top middle of the Digipak is different to those of other genres. The parental advisory, however,
isnt located in an appropriate place. Usually, if the people designing this would take into consideration that the last
aspect the human eye remembers anything located on the bottom right. If the parental advisory was located in this, then
people would feel more obliged to purchase this; as this is probably an aspect from this genre that the audience may like
the most. Subtilizes such as this will make the Digipak memorable and therefore more appealing to the target (and
wider) audience.

The colour theme that is consistent throughout this

Digipak contains colours that match the genre of the
music. The colours connote the genre that Jay Z and
Linkin Park are part of. They release a grimy, urban feel
to the album.
The balance within the colours makes it easy on the
eyes, as there isnt a heavy load of information for the
people to absorb. The background also reveals the type
of genre this Digipak belongs to, due to the sketchy
designs used.
