POINTS OF AGREEMENT FOR TB EXCHANGE 2012

Working Conditions

Must undergo similar working conditions as Indonesia students

Must obey all the regulations at the campus, clinical department and other venue

Be on time based on the schedule; for the morning events, we will pick you up at 6.30 a.m.

Must not leave the course before the time agreed previously

Every participant of this event MUST obey the schedule made by committee. Any other
event which is not written in the schedule, can't involve any of the committee's activities

Must wear FORMAL shirt with COLLAR. Please have respectable performances as medical
students during courses

Please take your exchange time seriously. Its two weeks chance to study bunch of tropical
medicine cases and unique diseases such as tuberculosis that you might only can see in
developed countries such as Indonesia

Special Remarks

Please understand that Indonesia has 6 religions and respect the rules

Bring your own laboratory coat and stethoscope

Please wear RESPECTABLE CLOTHES as mentioned above : SHIRT with COLLAR (for male and
females)

Wear SHOES instead of flip-flops; but feminine shoe sandals for female are okay

Female participants must wear KNEE LENGTH SKIRT or longer. Or else, please wear
TROUSERS instead of jeans. This is a way that you will feel more about our life, nothing to be
worried about this

NO cigarettes, NO boyfriend/girlfriend, NO weapons, NO alcohol, NO Clubbing.

In order to give you an experience making friends around the world, there will always be two
people in one room of hostel

We do not place couple in the same room of hostel. We only place SAME gender in a same
room

Bathroom in Indonesia might be different in your country. Because it is wet, no bath tub and
no tissue. Enjoy the culture

For the electricity, most of Indonesian plug hubs are the two holed hubs and it might be
different from your countries so we suggest you to bring your own converter

Please tell us about your allergen because it will help us to provide you the food

Indonesia is known as tropical country and there might be mosquitoes in some places that
we will visit. We suggest you to bring your own repellent. Besides protecting you from the
mosquitoes and any other disease because of them, it also prevents the allergic or irritation
than if you use Indonesian repellent, because of the diferrent composition they might have

We have public transportation that might surprise you by its implicity. Asian Public
Transportation. Youll enjoy this experience! Other kinds of transportations are also
available. So, ask your contact person about the detail of your transportation during the
exchange period

We do not give you a ride to anywhere except the exchange program activities

Most of Surabaya citizens are Java ethnic that has some unique personality. One is they tend
to be uncommunicative because of their incapability in English and their difficulty to open
the conversation. So, just be friendly with them because it doesnt mean they are not
friendly with you.

You are not allowed to bring any kinds of specimens from Indonesia, such as the sputum
that will be taken during the courses

In Indonesia, the latest hour in the evening is 9 p.m. so it is better for you not to do
unimportant things outside later than 9 p.m.

Again, please take your exchange time seriously. Dont skip any lectures and other module
or schedules. Certification from IFMSA would be only given for you who have attended at
least 75% of effective courses.
