will soon be on the road after Council
committed $30,000 in funding. The
service will help patients access treatment
by providing economical transport from
their homes to medical facilities.
Each year, more than 2700 people are
diagnosed with cancer on the Gold Coast
and currently there is no transport service
catering to the needs of patients.
In addition to Council funding,
community contributions are needed.
