New Reading Books

The children and staff at Mill View have been working and thinking
hard to develop all our class reading areas over the past two terms.
With everyones great ideas they are now looking amazing engaging,
interactive, cosy and inviting. At the end of last term we had a big
clear out of outdated and tatty books, sending any that were suitable
to Malawi. This left us with a lot of gaps on our shelves so we began
writing wish lists of the type of books everyone would love to read at
school. Some money had been raised through our Reading Selfies
earlier in the year and families had kindly donated books. The PTA
added a considerable amount to this to fund the purchase of new
books.
On Monday 3 November we had a special assembly to unveil the first
batch of our new books. Our children were very excited to see lots of
titles they had requested as well as lots of new engaging texts theyd
not heard of yet!
We would like to say a big thank you to our PTA for funding the purchase of these books to enhance class
reading areas across our school. All the staff and children are thoroughly enjoying them!
