Admission circular for the Academic Session 2014-2015

The guidelines for admission to classes from Pre-Preparatory to XII for the Academic Session 2014-2015 in the
Atomic Energy Central Schools/Junior Colleges are as follows:
1. ELIGIBILITY
(a) DAE Wards
(i) Children of employees of the Constituent Units, Projects, Aided Institutes, Public Sector undertaking
under full control of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) are eligible for admission in Atomic Energy
Central Schools and Junior Colleges.
(ii) The admission to the wards of CISF employees working in DAE units would be considered on par with
DAE wards as long as the CISF employee continues to work in DAE units. This concession ceases
once CISF employee leaves DAE or its Constituent Units.
(b) Non DAE Wards
Admissions for Non-DAE wards are not assured. Categories of Non-DAE wards for seeking admission
in AEC Schools against the vacant seats, if any, is given in Annexure -I.
(i) The available seats for Non-DAE students in each class will be notified on the notice board before
issuing the application forms by the respective AEC Schools or Coordinating school where there
is more than one school.
(ii) The no. of applications being issued by the Heads of AEC Schools / Coordinating Principal
for grant of Non-DAE admission shall be not more than five times of available seats in any
given class. Applications will be issued on First-come First-serve basis.
(iii) Non-DAE admissions will be considered based on: (a) subject to availability of seats; (b) in the
order of NonDAE categories listed in Annexure I; (iii) fulfilling stipulated conditions and as per
the recommendations of the Chairman, LMC followed by the approval of the Central Office,
AEES; and (iv) provided it does not lead to increase of sections in any class.

Remarks
Admission Form for DAE wards can be downloaded from AEES
website. The duly filled form along with fee should be submitted to
the AEC School/Jr. College in which the admission is being sought.
This application can also be procured from the office of AEC
School/ Jr. College in which admission is sought.
All Non-DAE parents have to obtain the Application Form from the
school concerned/Coordinating School in which admission is
sought, after notifying the vacant seats in each class by the AEC
Schools/ Jr. College concerned. Application Forms will be issued
on First-come First-serve basis. The duly filled in Application
Forms should be submitted in the school/Coordinating school. The
application form can also be viewed (Read Only) from the AEES
website (www.aees.gov.in) but cannot be downloaded.

4. ADMISSION TEST (Applicable only for Non DAE students)


(i) There will be no admission test for classes Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and standard I to VIII for
the wards of Non-DAE.
(ii) There will be a common admission test in all AEC Schools (Centre wise) for classes IX and X in Hindi,
English, Mathematics, General Science based on the syllabus of CBSE curriculum of the class
previous to which the admission is being sought.
(iii) The admission test will be for 3 hours duration for a maximum of 100 marks (25 marks of each
subject). The child has to secure a minimum of 33% in each subject in order to qualify the
examination
(iv) The admission test at a particular centre will be conducted by the coordinating Principal, if that centre
is having more than one School.
5. IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS
(i) Birth Certificate
The birth certificate issued by the Municipality/ Municipal Corporation should be submitted while
seeking admission to any of the class of Pre-preparatory, Preparatory and Standard I. The birth
certificate issued by Panchayat Office/Village Mukhia/Sarpanch of a Gram Panchayat should be
endorsed under the seal and signature of the Revenue/ Panchayat Officer of the concerned area and
should be produced at the time of seeking admission. Admission will not be granted on the basis
of an affidavit in lieu of a birth certificate.
(ii) Transfer Certificate
Those seeking admission to any class from II to XII will be required to submit a valid and original
Transfer Certificate (TC) from the school last attended. The TC produced should be appended with
the signature of the Principal/Vice Principal (if Principal is not available). If the place of birth is not
indicated in the TC of the previous school, the proof of place of birth of the child is to be produced. In
case of students migrating from CBSE affiliated/ State Board School, the TC needs to be
countersigned by the concerned Education Officer.
6. ADMISSION SCHEDULE
(i) The admission Schedule for DAE wards and Non-DAE wards are given in AnnexureI- II and
Annexure-III, respectively, which is applicable to all AEC Schools and there shall be no change
without prior approval of the Central office, AEES.
(ii) The distribution of Application/Admission Forms, their submission, display of lists, final admission etc.
shall be done at the respective AEC Schools/ Co-ordinating schools as the case may be, where
admission is sought.
(iii) On completion of admission process of DAE wards in AEC schools, the admission of Non DAE wards
would be considered subject to the availability of seats. The vacancies, if any, would be filled in the
order of Non-DAE categories as listed in Annexure-I. Parents of Non DAE wards are informed not
to depend for admissions in AEC Schools but to make every effort to seek admission
elsewhere too in order to avoid disappointment later.
7. SCHOOL FEES
Fees will be charged for all the twelve months of an academic session. Fees will be collected in
two installments, in April and October of the academic session for all classes. However, for fresh
admissions, the fee will be collected at the time of admission.

Apart from the fee as given in Table 3 (A), 3(B), 4(A) and 4(B), for classes XI and XII, other fees like
computer fee, science fee etc. are collected as per the guidelines issued by the respective Boards
from time to time.

C) Fee Waivers and Concessions


1. All girl students and students belonging to SC/ST categories of DAE and Non DAE are exempted
from paying Tuition fees.
2. PUVVN Fees are to be paid by all boy students of all categories. PUVVN fee structure for girl
students shall be according to Table-5

Note: The parents who wish to avail fee concession for girl child need to submit an affidavit duly
executed on Non-judicial stamp paper declaring the status of family as per the format available in
school. Subsequently, in the beginning of every academic year, self declaration is required to be
submitted to avail the fee concession.
8. ORDER OF PRIORITY FOR ADMISSION OF WARDS OF NON DAE EMPLOYEES
The order of Priority for admission of wards of Non DAE employees would be generally in the order of the
Non DAE categories, sequence-wise (as shown in Annexure-I). Applications against the vacant seats, if
any, in each class will be issued on First-come First-serve basis as per stipulated norms.
9. List of documents to be submitted with the Application/Admission Form
(a) Parents of wards who belong to ND-1 Category should submit relevant documents thereof from the
concerned authorities i.e. Revenue Department and DAE Unit
(b) (i) Parents who have superannuated or expired while in-service or invalidated, and are applying for
their wards under the ND-2 category, should submit a Retirement Certificate or Death Certificate or
Invalidation Certificate or Certificate from the DAE authority endorsing their employment in DAE, as
applicable.
(ii) Similarly, Parents of the Wards of Central/State Govt/PSU employees engaged in DAE activities
and/or working for the DAE applying under ND-2 category have to furnish a copy of their posting order
and the latest salary slip.
(iii) Parents of wards of employees of the major contractors working for DAE units applying under ND2 category have to furnish a copy of their posting order and the latest salary slip. The duly filled in
application form has to be submitted to the school authorities after obtaining the counter signature of
the administrative authorities of local DAE unit.
(c) Wards who belong to ND-3 category should submit the documentary proof stating that their parents
are/were defence personnel.
(d) Wards who belong to ND-4 category should submit the proof of service in respect of serving /retired
grandparent, and authentic document/certificate showing the relation of the grandparent with the
grandchild. The parents (both father & mother of the child) are also required to submit proof of
income.
(e) Non DAE parents of all the aforesaid categories have to furnish latest salary certificate issued by the
employer concerned in original or latest income certificate in original issued by the Revenue
authorities along with the admission application.
(f) Photocopy of Birth Certificate is to be enclosed while submitting application for admission to classes
from Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Standard I. Original to be submitted at the time of taking
admission. The original Birth Certificate shall be returned to the parent at the time of child leaving the
school.
(g) Original TC to be submitted at the time of taking the admission. The original TC will not be returned if
a student seeks to leave the school.
(h) Photocopy of the last Report card of the class for which annual examination was given.
(i) Photocopy of residential allotment letter issued by the concerned DAE Unit allotment section.
(j) Latest pay slip, if seeking fee concessions, should be attested by the constituent DAE authorities and
should be produced at the time of payment of fees

(k) Caste certificate, if applicable. Attested photo copy of caste certificate in the name of the student has
to be furnished in order to avail fee concession. Caste certificate of the parent shall not be
considered.
(l) Childrens status affidavit, if applicable (Table-5) Fee concession will be possible only on furnishing
the same.
Note:
1) Once admission is granted to a Non-DAE student in an AEC School at a centre having more than
one school, no further request will be entertained for change of school.
2) Information, if found wrong at any stage, will lead to the cancellation of the admission.

DAE (e.g. Sausheelya, Mehatva, School for special children, Co-operative Credit
