Letter of intent for Masters degree
Dear Sir / Madam,
I wish to apply for the Masters degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship at the
University of Anonomity. I am applying for this programme because I believe it to be an ideal
match with my aspirations of pursuing a career within international management consulting and
entrepreneurial endeavors. I hold this belief in particular due to the University of Anonomity's
hands-on learning style, international orientation, high international satisfaction rate and the
good reputation that it enjoys.
My avid interest in entrepreneurship and management originates with my practical work
experience along with working on various hands-on teamwork projects during my studies, acting
both as consultant for Danish companies as well as taking on entrepreneurial endeavors. Several
of the projects were highly commended by both lecturers and clients, with two of them receiving
the mark A+. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in technology-based business
development at Aarhus University. This is an interdisciplinary study, combining technology
(computer science), business processes, management, and the economics of start-up companies.
On top of my academic achievements I have worked with development of new processes and
business initiatives at Siemens Wind Power. Presently I am employed as an intern at Logica IT
Consulting, where I function in the role of project manager, charged with marketing planning and
strategic proposals for a future business unit. Furthermore, with reference to my CV, I can state
that I have strong analytical skills and a logical strain of thought, which enables me to quickly
analyze and solve complex and ambiguous problems.
While my academic background provides me with technical and interdisciplinary knowledge fit
for a project manager, it lacks dedicated business and entrepreneurial subjects along with crosscultural competencies. This I why courses like International Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the
international management courses along with the International Management Solution project fit
perfectly with my aspirations. Furthermore I can personally identify with the programs values,
such as personal initiative, responsibility and adapting to your environment, all of which I have

actively cultivated by attending personal development lessons and workshops as well as

attending personal coaching sessions.
Following the above sentiments I consider my academic and practical achievements to be an
attest to my high level of motivation and qualifications for becoming a successful graduate of the
Masters degree in International Business and Entrepreneurship. I base this reflection on my
track record of successful project work along with relevant work experience within business
development at both Logica and Siemens.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing your response.
Sincerely,

Letter of Intent for Employment

Letter of Motivation for Masters degree

Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is , an applicant from Romania. At present, I am a final year student at the
University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, the Faculty of land
Reclamation and Environmental Engineering, and my major is (Land Measurement
and Cadastral Survey / Land Reclamation and Rural Development / Environmental Protection
and Agricultural Engineering / Construction Management and Engineering). I would like to
apply for the MSc programme in at your university.
My objective for graduate studies in Computer Science is to prepare myself for the long term
goal of pursuing a career of teaching and research. I have nurtured a strong passion to become a
scientist and pursue research. In the pursuit of Knowledge, I have always adopted a rigorous
approach in order to attain an in-depth understanding of the subject at hand. This has amply
reflected in my consistently brilliant career, always topping the class and having received
numerous national level awards. With a GPA of 9.72, I am ranked first at the IIT among nearly
350 students.
I have been involved in research in parallel and distributed computing systems. I studied various
problems in distributed systems and distributed databases including deadlock detection and
resolution, termination detection, distributed snapshots and consistency. I have been attracted
towards the field of correctness of parallel programs. I published a Technical Report reporting
errors in two published deadlock detection algorithms and highlight their underlying deficiencies
with respect to the distributed nature of computation. I am also involved in the development of
an optimizer generator which would automate the process of writing optimizers based on the
specifications of the optimizations. I am currently engaged in writing a paper on an efficient
algorithm for performing global data-flow analysis. The new algorithm that I have developed
utilizes the notion of backward information flow to perform propagation using work-lists in an
efficient manner. I have been in correspondence with Professor J.D.Ullman about my algorithm
and other aspects of the problem.
I have chosen to pursue graduate studies at Stanford University because by working under the
guidance of the distinguished researchers I am confident of making an original contribution in
the field of Computer Science. My interest in research has burgeoned during my undergraduate
studies at IIT. I have excelled in our well-rounded and exacting undergraduate program and have
developed a solid background to take up research in Computer Science.

I have decided to go in for graduate studies which calls for a personal commitment to the
fulfilling craft of independent research and that involves willingly making personal sacrifices of
time, leisure and immediate reward. In turn I shall get intellectual satisfaction and the
gratification of becoming a contributor to knowledge through research and the greater personal
rewards of learning and discovery. I believe that I possess the motivation, intellectual ability and
preparation to set out on this exhilarating and arduous path and to make significant original
contributions to your on-going research work.
I look forward to joining your University as a graduate student at your esteemed department.
Regards,
Letter of motivation for job
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, (Your Name), currently in my first year at (XYZ) College, would like to apply for a 6 month
internship for a post in the marketing department of your reputed company.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in Marketing and at our college, we understand the
importance of gaining practical knowledge which will complement the textbook knowledge and
help a student gain a wider perspective of the subjects.
During this course I have found that I am decently skilled in the art of persuasion, as my teachers
and my former employer of 5 years will rightly testify. I've had a knack of getting my point
across very well, communicating with people, understanding their needs and providing them
with a value proposition which is truly hard to refuse. My skills lie in my ability to
comprehensively read and understand the situation and act quickly and yet smartly.
But of what use is a raw skill, unless it is sharpened? Therefore, I decided to enroll myself in the
prestigious XYZ College to help me understand more about the subject I truly adore, to help me
understand the mind of the consumer better and to learn some soft skills which have proven to be
effective over many years.
Laden with textbook knowledge, I wish to implement the skills that I have learned, in the real
world. What better way to prove that I have truly been benefited by this education, and what
better place to start, than a company as reputed as yours?
So working for your institution is something I look forward to very keenly.
I have enclosed my resume and cover letter as well.
Thanking You,
