Vital pillars
Business families have played an
important role in the economy of
to be orthodox, unprofessional
and unstable. But today, there is
substantial evidence to confirm that
these establishments can be wellgoverned and run professionally over
several generations, creating wealth
not just for the business, but for the
society at large. This, however, is
not automatic. In order to grow and
prosper across generations, it is
important for families to understand
the concepts and processes involved
in transforming the building blocks of
their businesses.
