Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study. 1) the level of participation of public in local
development, and 2) comparison of the participation of public in local development. The Sample were
346 voters aged 18 years or older that live in area of responsibility of Paiwong Subdistrict Administration,
Organization Wiset Chai Chan, Ang Thong. Research Instruments was questionnaires. The statistics used for

describing the data were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation (S.D.). The hypotheses had
been tested by t-test and one way ANOVA which significant level of .05.
The results were found that: 1) Majority were female that age between 32-45 years old,
education level was in high school, occupation is agriculturist, salary between 5,000 to 10,000 , period
of residence in the area is 35 years up, received information about local development via talk and chat
within community. 2) Overall of the level of participation of the public was moderate. When considered
in details it was found that the level of participation of the public, the participation in the benefits are in
high level. The participation in decision-making, the participation in the activity and the participation in
the monitoring and evaluation are in moderate level. 3) The result of hypothesis tested was found that
the people that had differed sex, age, period of residence in the area were not significant level of .05 But
for the people that different in education level, occupation, salary and channel that received information
at significant level of .05
