The PTA will be hosting a film night this Friday, straight
after school and lasting until 5.30pm. Please post your

GIRLS FOOTBALL
A big congratulations again to the girls football team who
beat local teams and have gone forward into the Cheshire
finals to be held at Crewe Alex shortly.
PARENTS EVENINGS
Please continue to book your appointments on the school
website - there are a few spaces left. (instructions are
written on last weeks newsletter). Please contact class
teachers if you do not have your childs username/
password. All children have now been issued with this
information. The Travelling Books Fair will be in school
next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, set up after
school and during parents evenings. Any book purchases
made help the school to buy extra books for the
classrooms. Please sign up on the rota (in the school
office) if you would like to help out.
There will be no choir next week due to parents evenings.
CHILDREN IN NEED
Dont forget - it is Children in Need day this Friday - please
come to school in your choice of clothes or in a super
hero theme! Donations of 1 per children will be sent to
Children in Need.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
These were all taken this morning and order forms will be
sent home tonight. Can all orders be returned to school by
the end of Monday at the latest to guarantee a delivery in
time for Christmas!
LETS WALK
The Year 3 and Year 4 children have been working with
PSCO Ryan Reid this week to learn about how to be safe
on the road. They have been out in small groups learning
about crossing roads and the hazards associated with this.
This is particularly important to remember at this time of
the year when it is getting darker sooner and it is hard to
see children walking near roads.

care at these times. A gritting plan is available in the

school lobby. Please note that the Parish Car Park is
not gritted by the Parish Council and may therefore be
very icy - take extra care.
In the event of the school having to close, I will make
the decision as soon as possible considering the
health and safety of the school and all members. I will
post a notice on the home page of the school website
and local radio stations will be informed.

Lets hope we dont even have to think about this for a few
weeks yet!
THANK YOU
To the parents who came into school on Saturday morning
to help us distribute the bark over the garden area. This is
now a much more pleasant (and safer) place to be.
Smallworld are going to continue to work with school to do
further work in the garden area to help us bring it to a
better standard.
