For the first time, WW is bringing the citys
best pizza and pie together in one
location and will launch the WWs bestselling Finder Guide.

Cartathlon

March 2 // Food Cart Scavenger Hunt


Willamette Week presents Cartathlon IV! Part scavenger hunt,
part eating competition and part urban footrace, Cartathlon
celebrates Portlanders love of food carts, defiance of winter
weather and affinity for oddball competition.
More than 450 active, hungry Portlanders compete in teams
deciphering riddles, manuevering through the city, eating from
food carts and performing other silly tricks in hopes of winning
free food-cart grub for a year. Costumes are encouraged.

Celebrate the launch of WWs inaugural Bike Guide with door

Eat Mobile

April 27 // Portland Food Cart Festival


Portlands food-cart scene is in the international spotlight. Eat
Mobile draws more than 1,800 hungry Portlanders to sample 30 of
Willamette Weeks favorite food-carts in one place. Vendors compete
for the coveted Carty Award, chosen by a panel of celebrity judges,
as well as the Peoples Choice Award.

Willamette Week aligns and polls the pros in the local music
business for a list of the best up-and-coming bands of the year.
We publish the results and gather the top picks to perform a
concert at Mississippi Studios.

WWs Beer Pro/Am

Commercial and home brewers pair up to create a new beer!


More than twenty two person teams will collaborate and brew a
beer together. We introduce the teams in WW and sample their
unique brews at an open-to-the-public event, let the masses vote
and crown a winner.

Secret Supper

October 14 // WWs Restaurant of the Year


Secret Supper is held the Tuesday before Restaurant Guide
publishes. WW readers sign up for an all inclusive meal at
WWs pick for restaurant of the year. Its a secret until hours
before the dinner.

Holiday Marketplace

A one-night festival of locally inspired and Portland-made gifts,

Willamette Weeks Give!Guide is Portlands
easiest path to year-end giving. Created in 2004,
G!G has raised more than $7.3 million for hundreds of local
nonprofits. In 2012, WW readers gave over $1.9 million to 110
fabulous Portland organizations. In 2013, we hope to raise $2.7
million to get to our goal of $10 million in 10 years. WWs Give!Guide
was created to hook young readers on year-end giving.
