Death via crucifixion was largely introduced by the Roman empire during its rise to power. Note the following:

Historians state a Roman village was established in 738 BCE, but took circa 500 years to become a conquering
superpower power. At this point in history numerous people were crucified and left to rot on the crosses. Soldiers would
ensure no one survived by breaking their legs or piercing their heart.
The dead sea scrolls date back to 408 BCE, containing the book of Daniel *Daniel prophecied about the death of Christ at
the time of the Romans]
The book of Daniel written during captivity in Babylon 606 BCE, 200 years before the Dead Sea scrolls authentication.
The book of Psalms composed by King David (1st king of Israel) 1020 BCE *contained a precise description of Christ on the
cross]
The book of Deuteronomy written by Moses written circa 1500 BCE years, recorded an early prophecy of the cross being a
curse of God
King David referenced to the crucifixion of Jesus more than 1000 years before it happened
Ps 22: 6 But I am ... a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 He trusts in the Lord, they say, let the Lord rescue him.
Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted within me.
15 My mouth is dried up , and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
Book of Daniel records a prophecy describing the time of death of the messiah more than 600 years before it happened as
well as the empire who will do it.
Dan 11: 2 Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will arise in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer
than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece. 3
Then a mighty king will arise [Greece], who will rule with great power and do as he pleases. 4 After he has arisen, his
empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it
have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted and given to others.
It is recorded history that Greece was the next super power Empire after the Persian Empire.
Alexander the great of Greece had no heir, after his death his kingdom was divided into 4 and out of the southern kingdom
Rome grew to power and became the next super power.
Dan 9: 24 *490 years+ are decreed for your people to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in
righteousness
25 Know and understand: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem [457 BCE] until the
Anointed One *Christ+ comes,...*there will be 483 years+
26 ...the Anointed One will be put to death .The people of the ruler[Rome] who will come [not yet present in Daniel's time]
will destroy the city and the sanctuary [ happened in 70 CE]. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end,
and desolations have been decreed.
27 He [Jesus] will confirm a covenant with many for [7 years]. In the middle of the [7 years ( ie 3 1/2 years)] he will put an
end to sacrifice and offering.
The whole prophecy (not mentioned due to space) describes
The year of the start of fulfilment of the prophecy 457 BCE Xerxes (Persia) decreed the people of Jerusalem would return
to rebuild Jerusalem
The year of Christ baptism/anointing AD27
The year of Christ death/crucifixion AD 31
The year the gospel started spreading to the world AD 34 after his resurrection and ascension to heaven
As mentioned in a previous post mathematically speaking, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are
staggering. Mathematicians put it this way:
1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies: 1 x10^17
1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies: 1 x10^157
1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: Only Jesus!
Im ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I dont accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must
not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would
either be a lunatic , or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son

of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon
or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a
great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.
--C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
The choice remains yours today to recognise Christianity is not blind allegiance, but makes perfect sense when you study
the whole purpose of the bible and recognise inside every story, ever war, ever misstep of mankind, God is still there never
giving up on humanity and providing an answer. His final act will be to put an end to sin and death.
Sin- transgression against the law of God
Death- absence of life
Are you prepared to accept his answer? He is prepared to accept you!!!
