EXPORT WARRANTY - GENERAL CONDITIONS

WARRANTY
TELWIN warrants the good working of the products and takes the engagement to replace the parts that
may result faulty due to bad quality of the material or manufacturing defects, within
12 MONTHS from the date when the product was sold to the end-user (exception is made for those
products sold within the European Union - UE - and relative to the European Directive 1999/44/CE),
proved on the warranty certificate included in the instruction manual. The warranty starts from the date of
purchase of the product.
WARRANTY LIMITS
The following conditions are not covered by the warranty terms: faults due to natural deterioration,
disregard of the maintenance instructions given in the instruction manual, alteration of the original status
of the product, connection to incorrect mains voltage, incorrect gas pressure, transportation damages,
fires or damanges caused by natural events such as lightnings or floods.
The direct or indirect damages caused by a faulty product are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty expires if the repair of the products is carried out without previous authorization of the
manufacturer or if the repair is carried out by using non approved spare parts.
The warranty does not cover transportation costs either direct or indirect. The torches, their
consumables and the wirefeeder rolls, are not covered by the warranty terms.
Note: the faulty parts substituted under warranty must remain available for eventual control.
After the repair work, the warranty of the repaired or replaced product will go on until the end of the
period as foreseen for the product when it was first purchased.
PRODUCTS REPAIR
The warranty service is granted by the products distributor.
TELWIN acknowledges the warranty costs with a warranty discount which is applied on all the
end-products invoiced.
This discount is to cover the costs for parts, labour, and all other costs.
To grant a correct service, TELWIN will support its distributors with the necessary documentation,
relative to the repair works, instruction and advice.
The distributor should structure its own organization so as to be able to carry out the necessary repair
works with adequate instrumentations (see Appendix) and be equipped with a stock of spare parts to
respond to its needs. This service should have a sufficient distribution in the area where the distributor
operates.
The distributor will also indicate a responsible of the repair service, who will become the reference
person for TELWIN as fas as the warranty matters are concerned. This person will come to TELWIN for
due training and updating on the products on a regular basis.
The information given shall not be used for scopes different from those for which it has been given.
It will be common engagement to proceed with a control on the costs sustained for the assistance in
case these will substantially differ from the initial ones foreseen.

In case all, or part of, the obligations of the Distributor are not respected, the right to get the discount will
loose validity.
In case of presumed defects on production batch, the distributor will immediately communicate all the
problems found. TELWIN, after due controls, will authorize the returnshipment of such products.
After control of the faulty products at Telwin s premises and diagnosis of the real fault, TELWIN will start
the repair work.
NOTE: TELWIN will not accept any returnshipment of any product if this has not been previously agreed
upon and authorized; in case the distributor is not able to carry out the repair on the product/s, contacts
should be taken with TELWIN s After Sales Service to get the most adequate support. In any case the
product is to be despatched to TELWIN CARRIAGE PAID and will be returned CARRIAGE FORWARD.
