7. Description of Activities Based on Actual Observation
Forge Welding Alfath ~ One of Tasikmadu Welding Services in the village
who could be the right choice for society. This workshop is located in the pool. This
workshop is open every day Monday - Saturday at 07.00 A.M. until 15.00 P.M.
Supported by three employees of experts in the field of welding and our workshop has

been established since 2008 so as to meet the needs of consumers and work
professionally. Various handicrafts Service Providers Iron By presenting the flagship
products of our namely Development Services Iron Fence, Bars, Canopy, iron door,
balcony, lightweight steel construction, etc. Products that we do can be customized as
you wish customers. Main customers are Individual Owner, Agencies Depeloper
which to build a house or Designer, Architect Partners who want to order based
design made of iron and steel. We also service / repair / maintenance of various home
accessories made of iron and stainless steel.
Along with the design of modern design at this time presenting the welding
shop Alfath present the best service in the field of manufacturing all kinds of home
accessories made of ferrous materials. Of some experiences from our sales most of the
houses that we are doing the most rapidly at this time is the design minimalist house

1. Design Selection

Iron hollow stainless steel

Advantages: shiny, luxurious.
Disadvantages: monotonous, can not be in the paint so it can not change the color.

Iron hollow Galvanize

Advantages: resistant to rust / corrosion, it can be painted.
Disadvantages: must wear special primer for galvanized materials for a long time
the paint is chipped.

Black Iron
Advantages: it can be painted.
Disadvantages: it could corrosion / rust, so the selection of materials should be
thick and wear anti-rust paint..

2. Selection of the type of iron

Iron fence minimalist model using hollow steel or iron box, there are stainless

3. The process of cutting material
The process of cutting materials adapted to the shape of the selected iron fence.
Cutting tools used in this process is Brander Cut Gas, Saws, Cut Pliers, Scissors
Cut, Cut Grinder, etc. a metal cutting tool (metal) used in the early stages; ie cut
the material that has been determined based on the size of the image created by
the designer.
4. Proses pengelasan
Proses pengelasan harus las full dan menggunakan las listrik sehingga lebih kuat
dan kokoh. Mesin las listrik yang digunakan di bengkel kami adalah mesin las
listrik WIM MIG Welder MIGWELD 350 SEF.
Berikut langkah kerja yang harus dilakukan :
1. Periksa dan persiapkan alat dan bahan yang akan dipergunakan.
2. Gunakan alat pelindung.(masker las, sarung tangan kulit dll)
3. Hilangkan bagian pinggir plat yang tajam dengan cara dijepit di ragum dan
dikikir.
4. Beri penomoran pada benda kerja dengan penitik nomor di bagian yang akan
menjadi dasar benda kerja.
5. Persiapkan mesin las. Meliputi :
a.

Hubungkan mesin las ke sumber arus.

b. Jepitkan penjepit masa mesin las pada meja las/meja kerja, pastikan
jepitan tidak pada bagian yang terdapat cat atau bagian yang dapat
menghambat jalanya arus.
c.

Atur arus mesin las sesuai tebal benda kerja dan diameter elektroda yang
akan digunakan. Untuk menentukan besar arus kita sesuaikan dengan
diameter elektroda dan ketebalan logam yang akan kita las. Semakin
tebal logam yang akan dilas, semakin besar arus yang dibutuhkan untuk
menghasilkan hasil lasan yang maksimal.

d. Pasang elektroda pada pemegang elektroda.

6. Lakukan penyalaan elektroda terlebih dahulu sebelum melakukan pengelasan.
7. Lakukan pemanasan/latihan dengan mengelas logam lain terlebih dahulu
sebelum mengelas benda kerja.
8. Jika pemanasan dirasa sudah cukup, lakukan pengelasan/penyambungan dua
logam pada posisi logam pertama berada tegak lurus dengan logam yang kedua
(posisi logam seperti huruf T jika dilihat dari samping).
9. Setelah selesai dinginkan benda kerja (bisa didinginkan dengan dicelupkan ke
dalam air atau bisa juga didinginkan dengan dibiarkan di udara luar), setelah itu
bersihkan terak pada hasil lasan dengan cara dipukul dengan palu terak atau alat
lain yang efektif.
10. Hasil lasan dapat terlihat setelah terak dibersihkan.

6. Painting Procces

7. Installation
