The appropriate methods of information gathering that I would use for this system is the
questionnaire and the interview method. The reason why I chose questionnaire as the method is
because it is fast to collect data. The questionnaire allows us to collect data large amounts of data
from large amounts of people, in this way we can save a lot of time and also able to collect large
information regarding the system. The second reason is because it is more reliable and valid on
gathering data and information. Any people or researches can use questionnaire because it can
provide a valid and reliable data for research and the data collected reliable for creating the
system since unreliable data lead to a failure system. The third reason is that the result of the
questionnaire which is the data can be easily measured in which the data collected can be readily
used for creating the features or functionalities for the system. The data collected can be
measured easily and quickly compared to any other research method. The final reason is that the
questionnaire can be analyzed more scientifically. This shows that the data collected can be
valued and measured through scientific method compared to other methods, so this way no time
is wasted on gathering information for the system like design or interface. Interview was the
second choice and the first reason for that is that using this method I can collect important data a
lot. Through interview we can ask questions from different ways and this leads to information
richness which can be used to create an enhanced version of the older system used. The second
point is that the subject involved in this is more committed compared to other methods which is
used for gathering information. The subject or the interviewee is more committed or focused to
the questions asked, therefore the data collected is more reliable in which this will be important
to create feedback system of the system being created. The third reason is that more questions is
asked during interview. During interview the interviewer can ask questions more detailed
questions to the interviewee until the interviewer is satisfied so that the system can be modified
into a better one. The final purpose is that interviewee is not being influenced. At the time being
interviewed they are not being influenced by others and a good collection of data can be gathered
so that the system created is not just only based on one persons view but other view counts as
well and this is good for creating any system.

The questions that I am going to use to interview with the staff are below.
1. What is the total cost that you are assigning for the system?
The reason this question is asked is because to know how much they are investing for the
system to be developed.

2. What is the time range that you are proposing for the project?
The reason is to know how much time they are giving to us to complete the system.

3. Can you give a detailed information on the pc specifications that your company is using?
The reason is to know whether the develop system can be used in the computer or not.

4. Who are you placing on maintaining this system?

The reason is to know who is doing the maintenance job for this system.

5. How long are you giving for us to train your employees on using the system?
The reason is to know whether the given time is capable enough to train the employees.

6. Should the design of the system be simple or well-designed?

The reason is to know the how well the system must be designed.

7. How many functionalities should be included in the system?

The reason to know the possible functionalities that can be included in the system.
8. What are the problems of using the old fashioned way in registering customers
information?
The reason is to know the problems and solve the problem in the new system.

9. How did the customers responded on the old system that was implemented?
The reason is to know how well the customers liked the old system so that some of the
features can be added into the new system.

10. How the feedbacks were received from customers when using the old system?
The reason is to know how the feedbacks were received from customers.
