1. A road was supposed to be finished in 3 stages.

However, during 1st stage, only 17km of road


were completed. During 2nd stage there were completed 3 times more km of road than the 1st
stage. During 3rd stage, there were completed 2 times more km of road than in 2nd stage. How
many km long did the road should have had, if you know that after the 3rd stage there were still
43km left to be completed?
2. A lion can eat a sheep in 2 hours, a tiger can eat a sheep in 3 hours, and a hyena can eat a sheep
in 6 hours. How long it will take all three of them together to eat a sheep? (Hint: think fractions
or parts of a whole)
