Communication is the procedure of sending or exchanging and grasping1 of


information between two or more people. (Brooks I ,2006,p.6). According to
Bratton (2010) communication is the way by which idea is transferred and known in
a group of people. Also communications is a process which is misunderstood by the
recipient2 and the transmitter such that easy messages are sometimes comprehend in
various ways by different people .This essay will explain the importance of
communication and communication skills such as, active listening , working on
common ground and resolving conflicts. It a will also explain barriers or blocks
to communication. .

Communication has become very important in any organization or any workplace. For
example it can assist one to know what other person is talking and also
communication is very necessary because it helps to increase production rate and also
promotes3 good working relations. It will help to raise confidence amongst users and
thus increase production. (www.michaelpage.co.uk, 2014) According to Huczynski
A. and BuchananD. (2010) communication has become more important. First cause
is the information available over internet .Secondly the height in employee
expectancy to be aware of the facts and to spread ideas (p.225). (Henry V,2013)
argues communication is very crucial4 in the success of any workplace program or
politics, business director who knows how to communicate successfully which
improves the opportunity of success in any program .

Communication has many skills and the most significant is active listening.
Firstly Active listening is a technique which helps to spread the understanding
between the listener and the speaker. The listener should significantly pay close
attention to the language which the speaker uses in terms of both pronounciation or
body language which is the most important. While listening to points to benefit and
in building a strong relationship between the listener and the speaker and one can
build cooperation5 and trust quickly. Make sure you really know what employees are
saying by asking questions and concentrating on their understanding of the problem.

Secondly Work on common ground It is a common interests between the people
and the values and goals and common denominators are to be mainly in the
construction of common ground in the work environment.

Thirdly is that Staying in contact. It is very important because the cantact always
renews relationships and also it can always be more profitable .There are tips for
successful communication with users .It is a reminder of the importance of
commitment . When staying in contact with others one must focus only on the other
speaker and give full attention . This increases the love and confidence among
customers or employees at work. Staying in contact increases the chances of
successful relations with staff and thus increases the love and cooperation between

communicate with family, friends and emergency responders during an
emergency. However ,keep in mind that everyday communication tools may not
work correctly especially during an emergency(http://www.getprepared.gc.ca

Fourth Sharing the working is another skill of communication. Colleagues at work


have to be working with some of the participation 6in the work . It helps in the
fulfillment of the work faster and more efficiently. When you help others in the work,

others also will be ready to give help, and this increases the trust between all staff of
employees and thus create a successful work environment. Employees may not
always have the same opinion and some may be different so you must find some

resolving conflicts
Finlay TO resolve the dispute must be by someone who has experience. and should
be able to create an open environment between users to talk about labour7 issues.
Listening to employee will foster an open environment. (http://hrweb.berkeley.edu,
2014).Conflict resolving plays a major role in the performance of any organization. It
can affect the output and promote healthy work environment. On the other hand, if
conflicts are not checked timely and effectively it can be disastrous.

However, there are many barriers to communication and these include Psychological
barriers

which is considered as a major barrier

of Communication. Moreover

different languages cause difficulty in understanding other western languages.


.Besides some people have ownership impose their opinion on others and try to
convince others that their opinion only is right , it is important problems that influence
communication between people . Also cultural difference affect interaction between

communication can add to difficulties at work and to one and only and distance from
family and friends. Much of the work therapists do with the people we work with in
treatment will include improvement of their communication skills, whether directly or
not . (www.goodtherapy.org). According to Huczynski A. and BuchananD. (2010)
Communication is essential to the action of the person and the collective8
performance but most of the corporate managers and establishments consider
communication is a problem and many users sense that they are not fully
informed about the plans of the organization.

In conclusion ,communication is important in our life because life needs many things
to make more successful. Communication is very necessary everywhere at work or
another places. That helps to reduce feeling of stress and feel more confident .It helps
to share ideas because there are many people who have problems and they cannot
share ideas, So they cannot make any achievement .If any employees have problems
they always try to find new skills that help to make main step at work. If you always
try to ask yourself how I can be a successful employee . you have to work very hard
to do many research . you have to be a good listener because the speaker uses body
language and can build tract and cooperation quickly .you should work on common
ground .the most important it is sharing the working you have to be working with
some

of the participation in the work because many employees have different

opinion so you should find solution that help to create a successful work.
