Pie & Praise

The 1st Annual Pie & Praise meeting on Nov. 25th was a
great success! Fr. Mel gave a blessing and a talk about
Thanksgiving: Have an attitude of gratitude. The pies,
cakes, ice cream and whipped cream made everyone
happy and some of the ladies added Thanksgiving
touches. A collection for the 8th grade class trip raised
about $80.00. Thanks to all who helped with this fun
event. We look forward to the 2nd annual Pie & Praise
event next year.

2015 Wall Calendars

Pauline Books and Media will visit us next weekend, December 13 & 14 after all the Masses. This is a great opportunity to shop ahead for gifts such as books, music, and
DVDs. Stop by to greet the sisters!

Parishioners are welcome to take home a 2015 calendar

found in the vestibule of the church. Please limit one per
family.

Share in the Care

The annual collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious will take place next weekend, December 13-14.
Special envelopes can be found in the pews. Please continue to pray for religious priests, brothers and sisters,
especially for the fail and elderly, who have committed
their lives to service for the Church.

Coat Drive
The Knights of Columbus are collecting new or gentlyused childrens coats
and sweaters for the
homeless. The coats will be delivered to St. Vincent de
Paul Center in mid-January. The San Diego Unified
School District has over 3,000 homeless students. Ed
Ancmon will collect coats after the 7:30 am Mass, or you
can call him at (858) 356-8111.

Christmas Poinsettias
If you would like to make a flower offering in honor of
a family member or friend, special envelopes are available on the table in the back of the church. Your donations will be used for the beautiful poinsettias which
decorate the church during the Christmas season.

The Gift of Generosity

This holiday season, we thank everyone who has supported St. Columba this past year with their time, talent,
and financial contributions and look forward to your
continued support in the year ahead. If you need a convenient way to make regular offerings or if you plan to
make an additional gift before the end of the year, we
encourage you to look into our electronic giving options.
As the pace of life speeds up, especially around the holidays, you may find electronic giving a most welcome way
to make contributions.
