Best gender and race equality emloyers

unveiled, but still room for progress
THE best employers for gender and
race equality in 2014 have been unveiled by Opportunity Now and
Race for Opportunity, the women
in work and race campaigns from
Business in the Community.
The benchmark study highlights
the top 10 unranked private and
public sector organisations for
both characteristics (see full list
below).
However, while the list showcases
best practice, the research also uncovered areas where HR could help
their organisations improve. The
study examined areas of progression and leadership, performance
and appraisal, and bullying and
harassment and found employers
wanting in some areas.
Results showed that black, Asian

and ethnic minority (BAME) employees are less likely to be rated

in the top two performance-rating
categories.
And women and BAME employees are less likely to be identified
as high potential or be selected
for leadership training overall,

frameworks, line manager training
in diversity and inclusion, and
dedicated progression programmes
for women and BAME employees

The Person
As a Motors Field Sales Representative you will need to be self motivated and driven towards achieving revenue targets.
Condence in working under your own initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that you are required to
work on team projects.
Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to rigid deadlines. Previous sales and/or customer
service experience could be advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as a comprehensive training
programme is in place.
