Definition
An expenditure is a purchase, payment,
distribution, loan, advance, transfer of funds by
a campaign treasurer or deputy campaign
treasurer between a primary depository and a
separate interest-bearing account or certificate
of deposit, or gift of money or anything of value
made for the purpose of influencing the results
of an election or making an electioneering
communication.

authorize any expenses, unless there are
sufficient funds on deposit in the primary
depository account of the candidate to pay the

Required:
The word "for" must be used in the body of such advertisement between the name of the candidate
and the office sought. This does not apply to bumper stickers, or if the advertisement satisfies one of
the exceptions in section 106.143(10), Florida Statutes.
