USFSP Program of Accountancy Scholarships

The Board of Governors of the State University System has allocated scholarship funds to the
USFSP Program of Accountancy (POA) as part of its Targeted Educational Attainment Grant.
The purpose of the grant is to increase the amount of degrees awarded in critically needed areas
such as accounting. Accordingly, the USFSP POA is awarding scholarships of up to $2,500 to
qualifying undergraduate students. The scholarships are for the Spring 2015 semester, and are
based solely on academic merit. The following criteria apply:

The applicant must have a declared major in accounting.

The applicant must be a USFSP undergraduate student at start of the Spring 2015
semester , and enrolled in at least 6 semester hours of course work after the completion of
the drop/add period for Spring 2015.
The applicant must have completed 30 hours of college-level work by the beginning of
the Fall 2014 semester.
The following grade criteria must have been met by the beginning of the Fall 2014
semester:

An overall GPA of 3.00 for USF coursework. Grades from other campuses within
the USF system are used in this computation. However, grades from other
colleges and universities outside of the USF system are not considered.
