Interior
a. Floors are clean and non-skid material is present.
b. All equipment and roller conveyers are properly secured.
c. Sufficient number of seats and seatbelts are available and properly configured.
d. Emergency exits are clearly outlined in yellow.
BA-22 / AEBP
a. At least one per safety per active paratroop door.
U-bolts (Forward and Aft)
a. Free of rust, corrosion, and cracks. Not distorted in shape.
Anchor line cables
a. Forward latch assembly is in its locked position.
b. Using a sufficient length of inch cotton webbing, inspect the entirety of all cables. Broken wires: 3
wires in 1 inch on one strand, 6 total wires on any 7 strands in 1 inch. Free of kinks, rust and
corrosion.
Towed Parachutist Retrieval System
a. One complete TPRS present and serviceable for each active paratroop door.
b. Retriever cable secured a minimum of 4 inches above anchor line cables.
Jump Platform
a. C-130H / C-130J-30
i. Non-skid material is present
ii. Free of bends or cracks
iii. Down locks seat properly
iv. Hinge plates are properly secured with a minimum of four turns of .032 inch or greater
stainless steel wire (most common method) or tie-down stud and screw and washer.
v. Protruding sockets near paratroop door are taped.
b. C-17
i. Non-skid material present
ii. Platform lights are serviceable
iii. Tie-down ring pan covers present covering protruding sockets
Paratroop Doors
a. C-130H / C-130J-30
i. No Sharp or protruding edges, lead, top, and trail edge.
ii. PIP pin is present
b. C-17
i. No sharp or protruding edges, entire outer edge.
ii. Up-lock is present securing paratroop door.
Air Deflectors
a. C-130H / C-130J-30
i. Extends out a minimum of 15 inches.
b. C-17
i. Extends out to 35 degrees +/- 5 degrees.
Jump Caution Lights
i. C-130H / C-130J-30: 7 operational sets
ii. C-17: 10 operational sets
Emergency horns and bells are operational
Emergency Equipment
a. First aid kits: minimum of 4
b. Fire Extinguishers: minimum of 3
Public Address System is operational
Air Sickness bags: enough for all Jumpers
