The Glasgow High School Student Council held

its 16th Annual Remembrance Tree Program
on Sunday, December 7th in the Valley County
Pioneer Museum. One of the highlights was to
hear the GHS Swing Choir perform. They are,
back row, Kennedy Schmidt, Desiree Johnson,
Rachel Sigmundstad, Joe Doney and Jake
Hentges; front row, Autumn Gault, Lily Helland,
Tayte Prewett and Madison Knodel. They were
led by GHS Swing Choir Director Luree Chappell,

generated approximately $1,500 for the annual
Block of Bucks program. The Remembrance
Tree in front of the Pioneer Museum will be lit
daily through December 31st.

What a great community!

a record of amount of money was raised on Friday

The annual program provides clothing for Valley
County children from infant to 12 years of age, and
there was a total of 214 children from Valley County
registered this year who went shopping on Saturday.
The money collected was distributed to each child
so that they could shop for coats, boots, gloves, hats and
such. Each child had approximately $140 to spend.

are 1-0, girls 0-1

After a trip to the State B Tournament last year and

returning a whole lot of talent from that team, the Scotty

boys whipped up on the Glendive Red Devils this past
Friday night. A 34-27 halftime advantage turned into a
58-37 route.
The Scotty girls trailed Glendive 34-27 at the end
of three quarters before the Red Devils kicked it into
overdrive for a 51-31 victory.
Glasgow will be in Saco tomorrow night (Tuesday,
December 9th. Tune into KLTZ at 6:00 for the girls
followed by the boys.

Competing in a field that featured 22 teams,

including two national powerhouses and three Class
AA squads from Billings, all in all the Scotties did pretty
well in placing 10th.
Poway, California showed why they are ranked
10th in the nation with eight individual champions.

Team scores 1. Poway, Calif., 337, 2. Sidney 187,
3. Lake Stevens, Wash., 156.5, 4. Billings Skyview 118.5,
5. Billings Senior 117, 6. Colstrip 98, 7. Billings West 85,

outstanding performance to place third at 205 pounds.

at 145 pounds was Cody King who pinned his teammate
Jake Hentges. Matt Reyling lost a close 5-3 decision

Letter to the Buzz

Scheduled meeting For NVCCA on 12-8-14

AT IT AGAIN? Bethea, DTM and Terry-Lee have called a
meeting for tonight to resurrect or create anew the NVCCA and
start monthly dues? QUESTIONS:
1. Do these folks really want to clear property deeds by starting
up North Valley County Condo Association?
2. When the monthly dues start as mentioned in their last letter,
will THEY PAY their dues? Or as mentioned will they use the
Condo Owners Bill of Rights that states that one may vote and
serve on a Condo Board even if their dues bills are in arrears?
(Not enacted in Montana)
3. When Bethea was paid manager and President of NVCCA
didnt he signature a RESOLUTION that prevented any member
owner from voting or serving on the NVCCA Board? Was that
to block OCI from voting who owned 450 units and was $80,000
in arrears on their dues bill?
4. Why then now does Bethea and Terry-Lee wish to re-write
the Bylaws to allow those that dont pay their monthly dues to
vote and serve on the Board? Are they and DTM as well as
Mitchell (NSM) and Kelly (SMDC) behind in their tax, water,
and association bills EXCEEDING $1 million dollars? The first
thing they should do if they take control of NVCCA is to LIEN
and FORECLOSE on THEMSELVES is the stated opinion of
many.
5. Do they think that those that pay their bills will standby
while they pay all the freight for these slackers, yet allow THEM
to LEAD? Most think not. These so called DEVELOPERS
can do whatever they wish with THEIR OWN MONEY and
PROPERTY and not involve the honest bill paying folks. What
gives past unethical folks and current folks that dont pay their
bills the privilege or legal right to COLLECT DUES and LEAD
others that have paid to IMPROVE their properties and that

PAY ALL their bills??? Is it time to call in the State Securities

Fraud folks, IRS, and Feds?
6. What are the names of the attorneys that will be present at the
meeting? The straight and normal you say? ....so disclose!
7. Proxy votes were mentioned, does that mean Mitchells NSM
400 plus votes? Did mailings notifying all 106 NVCCA members
of the meeting go out?
8. Did Legal Power exist to hold past and present meetings
and actions so far concerning NVCCA? What actions take 100%
approval of ALL members? What does State Law demand? What
did a Judge or Attorney say concerning this issue?
9. How exactly will NVCCA take action to CORRECT
PROPERTY DEEDS? Expand on this please.
10. Shouldnt the legal definition of a CONDOMINIUM,
CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION, and LEGAL RIGHTS be
reviewed by an attorney prior to any future action?
11. How would EQUITY and FAIRNESS apply between those
NVCCA properties that have been improved via $Thousands of
dollars of work versus the MANY JUNK units that are loaded
down with liens? How would monthly dues be applied, for
what services exactly? Would large unit owners be exempt from
paying monthly association dues as was proposed by past Board
Directors of the past?
12. Would extortion, embezzlement, or fraud be looked at
considering future activity?
CONCLUSION: Many good folks of St. Marie get Involved in the
Community by FIXING their units and PAYING their BILLS,
can this be said of so called INVESTOR/DEVELOPERS?

Never Long Gone: The Mission Mountain Wood Band Story

If you have yet to catch it on PBS, its
a good one. Never Long Gone: The Mission
Mountain Band Story will be airing tonight
at 6:59, on Wednesday at 1:00 a.m. and
Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 p.m.

By the early 70s, the war in Vietnam was
beginning to wind down. The first Godfather
came out and M*A*S*H premiered. The
Eagles hit it big with Take It Easy. Bob
Dylans plaintive, nasal cry echoed down
dormitory hallways. The Allman Brothers
fused southern to rock. Don McLeans
American Pie ran eight minutes, 28 seconds
- five minutes longer than a pop song had
the right to. So when five young men from
the University of Montana came blazing
out of the chutes, flailing away at banjos,
mandolins, strumming guitars, thwapping
the bass, and kicking out drum beats like
wild men, Montanans were ready to party.

Musically gifted, flashing wry, bona-fide
smiles, and unable to suppress an abundance
of hormones, these fellas calling themselves
the Mission Mountain Wood Band helped
fashion an extended family that endures to
this day. NEVER LONG GONE, recounts the
spirited journey Rob Quist, Steve Riddle,
Terry Robinson, Christian Johnson and Greg
Reichenberg made together as the Mission
Mountain Wood Band (M2WB).
In addition to rare archival footage
and photos, the boys, their wives, roadies,
friends and fans share memories about
the bands passionate run at fame. Singing
ballads, old timey tunes and originals like
Mountain Standard Time and Big Sky
Country Sun, they perfected their act,
broadened their musicianship and attracted
a nationwide fan base, putting millions of
miles on a converted 1955 Scenic Cruiser
Greyhound bus.
Making guest appearances on national
TV shows (Cheryl Ladd Special & Hee Haw),

it was as if stardom merely nipped at their boot

heels. From 1971 thru 1980, M2WB played
their hearts out at hundreds of colleges, clubs,
outdoor concerts, ski resorts, county fairs and
on the steps of dozens of state capitols. And
until Missoulas last Aber Day Kegger in 1979,
they were that hard-to-follow-home-townact groups like Heart, The Nitty-Gritty Dirt
Band, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffet, and dozens
of others couldnt top. But like the demise of
that eras communes and hundreds of other
bands, famous or not they were a posse of
individuals, each with lives and dreams of
their own.

Unfortunately, gravity seems intent on
laying claim to some musicians headed for
the stars. In mid-1987, after several changes
in band members, a small plane carrying
Terry Robinson and the rest of the Montana
Band crashed on the shore of Flathead Lake
killing ten people. Reunited by tragedy, Rob,
Steve, Christian and Greg, along with Terrys
brother Bruce, rekindled the flame and are
once again in search of the magic.
As a retrospective, NEVER LONG
GONE is a tribute to these down home
Montanans, as well as their fans, friends and
admirers. It reminds us of the wild abandon,
often stormy times, and the pure joy The
Mission Mountain Wood Band brought
and continues to bring to so many ready
to boogie in the aisles.
