Shot
Type

Detail

Length

Tying shoe

Close
up.

This shot was of my foot on bench, with

16
the only other thing in the frame being my seconds
hands. In which I tie the laces of the
trainer I was wearing.

This shot didnt work as well as I

hoped because it ended up being
longer then I intended it to be.

Putting on
the glove

Close
up

This shot was of a fingerless glove being

put onto my hand.

11
seconds

Stretching
my fingers

Mid
shot

This shot was of me in front of the

camera stretching my fingers and my
neck.

12
seconds

My feet while Close

doing a pull up
up.

I did a pull up on a bar hanging from the

celling. In which the camera was just
focused on my feet as my body went
upwards.

18
seconds

This shot managed to get everything

that needed to be needed in the
frame, however it couldve been more
focused.
This shot turned out very well, with
everything needed to be in frame. But
also the camera put more focus on my
hands than the body; which turned out
to look very well.
Despite my feet exiting the frame
when I pulled myself upwards, I felt
the shot looked clear and pulled of the
effect I wanted it have.

On a bench
number one

Long
shot

Cutting out the beginning and ending

22
sections, the shot is of me sitting on a
seconds
bench in a gym; looking like Im preparing
for training.

The only issue the shot has is the

parts where I enter and exit, due to me
filming it on my own.

On a bench
number two

Mid
Shot

This is a repeat of the previous scene but

in a close up shot.

Like the previous shot, this has come

out reasonably well, but needs to be
cut down in editing.

21
seconds

Good/No Good? Why?

On a bench
number
three

Mid
shot

This is a repeat of the last two shots,

20
however in this one, he camera is facing seconds
towards me, instead of looking at the side
of my head.

On a bench
number four

Close
up

This is repeat of the last three shots I

have previously talked about, however
this one has the camera focusing more
closely onto my face.

20
seconds

Pull up, feet. Close

up

During this shot, I was doing some pull up 18

exercises on a bar hanging from the
seconds
celling. While the camera was filming my
feet being lift up.

On a bench
number five

Mid
shot

This is basically a repeat of the four other

shots of me sitting on a bench in the
garage, while the camera was focusing
on a mid of me.

24
seconds

Weights
being lifted

Close
up

In this shot, I was on a exercise machine

lift the weights seen in the clip. The shot
was focused on the weights as I lift them
up.

37
seconds

Once again this has come out

reasonably well, but needs to be cut
down in editing. In order to remove the
parts of me entering and exiting the
frame.
Like the other three shots this has
come out looking well shot, but needs
to be cut down. In order to remove the
parts of me entering and exiting the
frame.
This shot was well focused and
framed. However I felt it went on
longer than it should have; and my
feet often went out of the bottom of the
screen. This can be fixed during the
editing of the video.
This shot didnt go as planned, mainly
because my head went out of frame
during the filming of this section.
The main problem is the length and
the fact that I had to do this shoot
myself. The shot went on to long given
how I had to enter the frame to lift the
weights, and then exit to turn the
camera of. This mistake can be cut
out during the editing.

Weights
being lifted,
number two

Close
up

During this scene I was lifting weights,

however this shot was focusing on m
pulling the handle that would lift the
weights machine.

25
seconds

This shot was well framed and came

out clearly. But like the last shot it will
need to be cut down, because it had
to enter frame to lift the weights, and
exit to turn of the camera.

Weights
being lifted,
number
three

Close
up

Once again this scene is of me lifting the

weights, however this shot is of the gears
and top of the handles of the machine I
was working on.

28
seconds

This shot has the same pros of the

last shot in terms of how well framed
and shot it is, however it has the same
cons of it needing to be cut down, and
the actions running for too long as
well.

Weights on
the floor

Close
up

This shot is of a long weight on the floor,

with the camera gaining focus onto the
shot of the weight.

12
seconds

The shot is well framed, but the

gaining of focus was a bit too slow,
compared to the faster pace of the
track.

Pull ups

Long
shot

This shot is self-explanatory; in short it is

a shot of my doing some pull-ups on a
bar that was hanging from the celling.

30
seconds

This shot went on for longer than it

shoulder, due to the fact that the cloth
around the pole started to come off.
But also I almost knocked over the
camera when I pulled myself up,
because it was too close to my feet.

Pull ups
attempt two

Long
shot

This is basically a repeat of the shot of

32
me pulling myself up on a bar. But this
seconds
time the camera was moved further back,
so my feet couldnt knock it over.

Fortunately this attempt was more

successful in capturing myself on
camera and I gladly didnt hit the
tripod on the way up.

Pull ups,
shot of my
hand

Close
up

This shot is the same as the previous

shots of the pull-ups, however this shot
focuses on my hand as put it on the bar.

17
seconds

The shot came out clear and captured

everything that was needed. However
during the filming I decided to do a pull
up during the take. In short it ended up
looking horrible on screen.

Punching
bag, shot
one

Close
up

This shot is self explanatory, because its

mainly a shot of my fist hitting a punching
bag; while in tune to the music.

36
seconds

This shot came our rather clear and

well focused. There were moments
where I didnt get the rhythm right,
however these small sections can be
cut out in editing.

Punching
bag shot
two.

Mid
Shot

This is basically the previous shot, but

now filmed in mid shot and focusing on
my body rather than my hands.

41
seconds

This shot has the same pros of being

well framed like the last shot. And
there were parts near the end where
the rhythm wasnt in time. Like I said
these parts can be taken out.

Punching
bag shot
three.

Close
up

This shot is basically a repeat of the last

two shots. However this time the camera
is focused on my head and body.

23
seconds

This shot also came out clearly.

However I ended up moving out of
frame for most of the shot, due to me
not putting the camera in the right
position.

This shot is a repeat of the last three

shots of me hitting a punch bag.

19
seconds

Punching

bag shot four up

Pectoral
work out
shot one

Mid
shot

This shot was of me operating a exercise

machine that is used for pectoral work
outs (exercising the chest and shoulders)

26
seconds

The shot came out very clearly and

was well focused. However it ran too
long and I ended up looking a bit too
angry; and not fitting well with the
hopeful mode of the track.

Pectoral
work out
shot two

Long
shot

This is basically a repeat of the previous

shot of me exercising on pectoral work
out machine. But this time the camera
was moved further back for a long shot.

28
seconds

This shot came out very clearly and

well focused. However I felt it ran
longer than it shouldve. With hat said
this can be fixed in editing and gives
me more footage to work with.

Unused lip
syncing in
gym shot
one

Close
up

This was a close up of my face at the

gym location, with the camera focusing
on my face while singing the song

1 minute
16
seconds

The shot was well focused and clear.

But I feel the framing couldve been
better, given how the top of my head is
out of frame. But also its clear I didnt
know the lyrics to well and ended up
stumbling and messing up lines.

Mid
shot

This shot was of me lip-syncing the first

verse of the track. This time the shot was
of a mid shot of my body.

29
seconds

The shot was clear and I remembered

the lyrics better. But the framing was
even worst with the whole of my head
out of frame.

Mid
shot

This shot was me one a bench singing

the backing vocals of the first verse.

1 minute
1
seconds

The shot was clear and well focused,

along with being well framed unlike
the previous two shots.

Unused lip

gym shot

Close
up

This was another shot of my feet. But this 44

time they were stomping to the beat of
seconds
the track.

Unused lip

Mid
shot

This is a redo of the second lip-syncing

shot I did that day. But this time I moved
the camera back in order to get a better
shot of myself.

51
seconds

Close
up

In this scene i had to lip sync and sing

the lyrics of the first verse while i had the
backing track on.

Green
screen shot
two

Close
up

In this scene I had to lip sync and sing

the lyrics of the chours verse while i had
the backing track on.

35
seconds

The shot was clear and the singing

was well done. However the framing
could've been better. Because my
head often kept coming out of frame.

Green
screen shot
three

Close
up

In this scene i had to redo the chorus

While lip syncing the lyrics

55
seconds

The shot was well focused and the

framing was improved given how me
and the camera where moved further
back.

Green shot
one

While the shot was clear and well

focused, the framing couldve been
improved given parts of my feet are
out of frame. Along with me keeping
time to the beat, this is something that
also needed improvement.
The framing and quality of the shot
was done very well. However the
singing performance couldve been
done better and more confidently.

Green
screen shot
four

Close
up

This shot is of me singing the outro of the

song, with the camera moved further
back.

28
seconds

Green
screen shot
five

Mid
shot

This shot is of me singing the words of

the song while playing a guitar.

3 minutes The shot was came out clearly and

and 50
was well performed. But there were
seconds sections of the scene in which i forgot
sections of the guitar music while
playing.

Establishing
shot of field.

Long
shot

This is a panning shot of the field I and

my film crew were filming at.

7
seconds

The shot was clear but i felt it went on

for too long, so it'll need to be cut
down.

Opponent
waiting

Close
up

This was a shot of the other actor (the

opponent) waiting for my character to
arrive.

10

This shot was well framed and came

out very clearly.

In this shot, my character arrives at the

location of the race

7

The shot was clear, and framed very

well; but will need to be shorted in
editing.

This shot involves the opponent

getting into a crouched racing
position

8
The shot was well framed but it
seconds needed better focusing, because
it looked blurry.

Close
up

The shot was well focused and came

out looking clear, however I messed
up the entry queue for the first line.
However this can be fixed up in
editing.

2 minutes The shot came out clearly and it was

47
also well framed. Even if i forgot
seconds sections of the song, but this can be
edited out.

Opponent

Redo.
Me getting

Close
up

This is a second shot of the

opponent getting into a crouched
racing position

9
We had improved the focusing
seconds issue and came out clearer than
before.

Close

This shot was of me getting into the

crouched racing position.

The shot was framed but like the

Race start

Long
shot

In this shot the opponent looked at

me with a mean look to show that
we were rivals. All while the camera
was on his face.
This shot was a repeat of the
opponent looking to the side. But
this time it was me looking at his
direction.
In this scene me and the opponent
started to run, showing that the race
has started.

7
The shot was framed very well
seconds and came out clearly and well
focused.

This shot was well framed. But i
seconds felt it was a bit too short the more
i looked it during editing.

wasn't well focused. Also i forgot to

film the shot of me taking of my jacket.

5
Like the previous shot it came out
seconds very clearly and was very well
framed and shot.
The shot was well shot, framed and
9
seconds came out pretty clearly. But the

attempt of a panning shot failed as we

had the tripod screwed up to tight.

Me running

The shot was well framed and looked

shot, despite how fast we were

This was a shot of the two of us

running down the track with camera
catching both of us.

This shot was the two of us running

shots we'd done earlier but with the
two of us.

Winning the
race

Long
shot

In this shot I run past the opponent

beating him in the race. While he
stops exhausted from the running.

Opponent
humiliated

Mid
shot

In this shot the opponent is tired

7
from the race and holds his hands to seconds
his hand to show his upset with
being defeated.

The shot was well framed and looked

16
seconds like i hoped it would look like, however
it'll need to be shorted, given how I'm
seen entering frame and both of us
run past the camera.
The shot was clear, but the beginning
15
seconds needs to be cut due to nothing
happening; along with the ending.
Because i end up exiting the frame,
and the opponent is hanging of the
edge of the screen.

The shot was clear and well framed.

But the tracking of the actor was slow,
given how the actor changes position,
and then the camera follows him, with
his body almost out of shot.

Trophy shot

Mid
shot

This a shot of me holding a trophy

after winning the race and winning
the trophy.

5
The shot itself was clear.
seconds However the framing and
positioning of the camera was
way too close. Which meant the
trophy and the hand i was holding
it in went out of frame.
