I should like to apply for the Student Placement Scheme.

I am in my penultimate year of a Masters of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering
at City University London; however, before I complete my studies I would like to undertake
an Internship with an organisation in which I can both develop my own skills and
knowledge, and contribute to the success of the company.
A description of how my skills will benefit your organisation can be seen below:

I have developed excellent administrative and organisational skills through project

managing at various stages at University; this includes designing, building and testing
of systems ranging from wind turbines to validation of the Callisto Viscous
Garabedian & Korn method used to analyse swept transonic wings on an aircraft.
My final year project required me to analyse swept transonic wings data produced by
a computational method, this required a lot of concentration over long periods of time,
which is why I had to organise my time efficiently throughout my final year at
University.
Working under pressure is something I have become accustomed to due to my degree,
I understand the value of time and thrive under situations that require efficient results
within a minimum time period.
I thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team because it combines the best of different
minds into working towards a single goal. I have shown flexibility when it comes to
work schedules in the past and will do so in the future because that is the essence of
team work.
Strong interpersonal skills were something I developed whilst working as an
Engineering Ambassador, this required interaction with students ranging from a
variety of backgrounds. Interacting with thousands of visitors whilst working at
Legoland Windsor also improved my communicational skills and ability to talk to a
large audience.
I am also proficient in the use of various automated solutions, including AutoCAD
and CATIA as well as all MS Office products. I have used MS Excel to solve for
simple CFD solutions as part of a project.
I am fluent in English, German, Urdu and Punjabi. I am able to translate between
these languages flawlessly.

During my time at University I have developed skills that enable me, as an ambitious
individual with an infectious enthusiasm, to make a positive contribution to any project and I
would value this opportunity to channel this enthusiasm to Precision Castparts Corp.
