CHAPTER ALUMNUS:
NEW YORK
CITY ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION
BY JULIAN BURRELL,

A LITTLE EXTRA
The New York City Alumni Association is similar to other area alumni associations in that it does
not have a specific chapter or campus to which all
members belong. And although alumni associations do not have houses like chapters, Pigmans
says a shared venue is a lofty goal of his group. I
think that everybody involved with this association shares a similar, larger-scale dream of having
some sort of real estate in the city. I havent been
shy about this path, Pigmans says. Harvard has
a club here. Yale has a club here. I don't know why
the best fraternity in the country cant have one.
Thats something weve been working toward, but
its a long way away.
In a city nicknamed the Big Apple and often
regarded for its scale and spectacle, Pigmans and
the rest of the New York City Alumni Association
members are looking to channel the energy of
their location and transfer it into something
much more intimate.
In one simple word, I want people to think of it
as comfortable, Pigmans explains. As comfortable as your home. I want pople to think of the
organization just as much as mine as it is yours or
any other brothers.
