India's Weather: has a tropical climate and there are three main seasons.
- October to March- cool climate 24-25 C and dry
- April to May- hot climate 28-31 C and dry
-June to September- hot climate 27-31 C and very wet. Is a
MONSOON season, during the monsoon the experiences
are very strong wins and very heavy rainfall.
Traveling across India: the landscape are very varied. In the North there are a mountain
ranges of the HIMALAYAS and highest peak is MOUNT EVEREST.
In the South is a huge flat area through which river GANGES
In the Southern is area of hight flat land called Deccan Plateau
Hinduism: most people of India follow HINDU religion. Hindus believe that Hindu gods and
goddesses represent different qualities and powers of supreme God. Have many festivals and
celebrations for example: DIWALI. Hindus believe that the place any rivers meet is scared.
Platforms called ghats are built to enable pilgrims.
Diwali: is the most important festival of the year and takes place at the end of October.
There are various traditional stories are remembered at Diwali, for example: RAMA AND
SITA. The Hindus decorate homes and temples with rows of lights: DIVAS. The Elephants
have been a symbol of India for many centuries and ridden in festival processions. And special
patterns called RANGOLIS are drawn in the floor with colorful ponders.
Cooking and eating India: the India food colorful and many spices. There are different meals
depend in to the area, live and religion. Many Indians are vegetarians. Hindus do not eat beef
and Muslims do not eat pork.
The Hindus eating with the fingers of your right hand that are good manners.
DAAL: is a word to describe pluses, lentils, chickpeas and kidney bears.
GHEE: form of butter used cooking.
SAFFRON: is the most expensive spice. Bright yellow and is a symbol of hospitality.

RED CHILLIES: are very hot and use in cooking curries.
