The final price is the Price. If you want to upgrade your current staff it will cost ML times 2 soul
gems of all three types.
Arcane essence spell books
These book can vary from 1-10 normally/player created or 3-18 player created, each point
knocks off that amount of XP from learning that specific spell (cant be used if you already know
that spell). The higher the point amount the harder it is to find the arcane essence spell book.
Arcane essence spell books (3-18)
To create an arcane essence spell book you need to know the spell and have crest casting skill
and a blank book. Then do it as if you were casting a spell to see if you succeed. If you fail then
you only lose 1 attribute permanently it depend what magic your using to cast the spell. If you
succeed then roll 3D6 to determine the level of the book. Then you must roll 1D6 to determine
how many attribute points you lose making the arcane essence spell book on dice rolls. On the
dice 1-2 equals 1 attribute points permanently gone, on the dice 3-4 equals 2 attribute points
permanently gone, and on the dice 5-6 equals 3 attribute points permanently gone. Also if you
fail you make a monster based off the essence. This monster will see you (the caster) as the
priority
Arcane essence/form spell books (2-10), forms (2-12)
To create an arcane essence/form spell book you need to know the spell and have crest casting
skill and a blank book. Then do it as if you were casting a spell to see if you succeed. If you fail
then you dont lose 1 attribute permanently it depend what magic your using to cast the spell. If
you succeed then roll 2D6 to determine the level of the book (if youre going for an essence then
if the total equals 11 or 12 its only 10). Then you lose 1 attribute points permanently (if youre
going for an form then roll 1D6 odds you lose 1 attribute points permanently, evens you lose 2
attribute points permanently).
