National Select 7on7 Championship Series

Hoover, AL Of the 32 teams that competed in the 2014 National Select 7on7
Championship Tournament, 25 went on to compete in the 2014 post season, and 7
eventually played for their respective state championship. The 7 teams that played
for their state championships were Hoover High School (AL), Oxford High School
(MS), Hillsboro High School (TN), Spartanburg High School (SC), Dutch Fork High
School (SC), Havelock High School (NC), and Warren Easton High School (LA).
Hoover High School took on Pratville High School for the first ever AHSAA 7A State
Championship game at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama on December 2nd,
2014. The Bucs came out victorius with a 35-21 win over the Lions. During their
playoff run, the Bucs also defeated Buckhorn 38-13, Tuscaloosa County 42-7, and
Gadsden City 42-7. Hoover High School ended the 2014 season with a record of 122, a state rank of 2, and a national rank of 45.
Hillsboro High School challenged West High School for the TSSAA 5A State
Championship game at Tucker Stadium in Cookeville, Tennessee on December 5th,
2014. The Burros were defeated by the Rebels 23-6. During their playoff run, the
Burros defeated Kenwood High School 55-12, Springfield High School 41-7,
Shelbyville Central High School 42-9, and Ridgeway High School 35-7. Hillsboro
High School ended the 2014 season with a record of 14-1, a state rank of 11, and a
national rank of 289.
Oxford High School competed against Laurel High School for the MHSAA 5A State
Championship game at Davis-Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi on December
6th, 2014. The Chargers were defeated by the Golden Tornadoes 29-26. During their
playoff run, the Chargers defeated Ridgeland High School 62-14, West Point High
School 42-14, and Pearl High School 48-7. Oxford High School ended the 2014
season with a record of 13-2, a state rank of 6, and a national rank of 137.
Spartanburg High School competed against York High School for the SCHSL 4A
Division II State Championship game at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South
Carolina on December 6th, 2014. The Vikings defeated the Cougars 49-28. The
Vikings also defeated Riverside High School 31-7, Stratford High School 51-20, and
South Florence High School 63-30 during their playoff run. Spartanburg High School
ended the 2014 season with a record of 12-3, a state rank of 3, and a national rank of
149.
Dutch Fork High School took on Hillcrest for the SCHSL 4A Division I State
Championship game at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on
December 6th, 2014. The Silver Foxes were defeated by the Rams 47-17. The Silver

Foxes defeated Mauldin High School 49-0, Dorman High School 26-13, and Byrnes
High School 41-6 during their playoff run. Dutch Fork High School ended the 2014
season with a record of 12-3, a state rank of 2, and a national rank of 139.
Havelock High School took on Crest High School for the NCHSSA 3A State
Championship game at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina on
December 13th, 2014. The Rams lost to the Chargers 24-3. The Rams defeated
Morehead High School 49-10, West Craven High School 49-7, Eastern Alamance
High School 63-28, and Eastern Wayne High School 35-12 during their playoff run.
Havelock High School ended the 2014 season with a record of 14-2, a state record of
11, and a national record of 456.
Warren Easton High School competed against Neville High School for the LHSAA 4A
State Championship game at Malone Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana on December
13th, 2014. The Eagles were defeated by the Tigers 28-27. During their playoff run,
the Eagles defeated Woodlawn High School 62-12, Peabody High School 57-20,
Benton High School 55-7, and Plaquemine High School 43-36. Warren Easton ended
the 2014 season with a record of 15-5, a state rank of 19, and a national rank of 601.
National Select 7on7 is honored to have had these talented teams and players
compete in the 2014 National Championship Tournament. We would like to
