A corporation for the purpose of planning
& promoton programmes for the
production , processing , marketing ,
storage , foodstuffs and certain other
commodities on cooperative principles &
for matters connected therewith.

Functions of corporation
1. To plan & promote programmes, through
Cooperative Societies , for :a. The production, processing, marketing, storage,
export, & import of Agril. produce , food stuffs,
poultry feed & notified commodities.
b. The collection , processing , marketing storage
and export of minor forest produce.

2. The corporation may

a. Advance loans or grants subsidies to state govt.
for financing Coop. societies & employment of
staff for implementing programmes of cooperative
development.
b. Provide funds to state Govt. for financing Coop.
societies for the purchase of agril. produce , food
stuffs & notified commodities on behalf of the CG.

c. Supply of seeds , fertilizers , Agril. implements &

other articles for the development of agril.
produce .
d. Provide loans and grants directly to the national
level Coop. Societies and other Coop. societies
having objects extended beyond one state .
e. Provide loans to coop. societies on the
guarantee of the state Govt.s
f. Participate in the share capital of the national
level Coop. Societies.

Sources of funds
1. C.G. as grant for Administrative
expenses.
2. Borrow money from :a. Public by the issue of sale of bonds/ debuntures/
or both (with interest)
b. Any bank or other financial Institution
c. Any Authority /Organization or Institution, as may
be approved by CG

 The corporation will maintain a fund called

the national cooperative Development
fund.
All money will be deposited in the
RBI/SBI/Nationalized bank

or any authorized person by CAG
