Museums, Libraries, and Cultural Organizations
(CFDA No. 45.164)
Purpose: To provide support for museums, libraries,
historic places, and other organizations that produce public programs in the humanities; planning grants support
exhibitions at museums, libraries, and other venues; interpretations of historic places, sites, or regions; and book/
film discussion programs; living history presentations;
and other face-to-face programs at libraries, community
centers, and other public venues; implementation grants
support all of the above including interpretive websites,
mobile applications, games, and other digital formats.
Eligibility: State, county, city, township, and special
district governments; private, public, and state controlled
institutions of higher education; Native American tribal
organizations; and nonprofits.
Funding: $1 million.

National Security Science And Engineering Faculty
Fellowship (CFDA No. 12.300)
Purpose: To support innovative basic research within
academia, as well as education initiatives that seek to create and develop the next generation of scientists and engineers for the defense and national security workforce.
Eligibility: Public, private, and state controlled institutions of higher education; nonprofits, other than institutions of higher education; for-profit organizations other
than small businesses; and individuals.
Funding: $25 million.

of scale and efficiency, and address
challenges more effectively as a
group than as single providers.
Eligibility: Rural nonprofit or rural
public entity that represents a consortium/network of three or more
health care providers.

Sparks! Ignition Grants for Libraries (CFDA No. 45.312)
Purpose: To test and evaluate specific innovations in operations and
services provided and to support the
deployment, testing, and evaluation
of promising and groundbreaking
new tools, products, services, or organizational practices.

Eligibility: A unit of state or local government or private nonprofit


organization, a library or a parent
organization, such as a school district, a municipality, a state agency,
or an academic institution, that is
responsible for the administration of
a library; including public libraries,
elementary and secondary school
libraries, college and university
libraries, research libraries and archives that are not an integral part
of an institution of higher education
and that make publicly available library services and materials that are
suitable for scholarly research and
not otherwise available, and private
or special libraries that have been
deemed eligible to participate in this
program by the state in which the
library is located.
Funding: $250,000.
