APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION AND LICENSING WITHOUT EXAMINATION

Steps in Filing Application for Registration Without Examination


1. Fill-out application form together with required documents for pre-evaluation to the
Office of the Assistant Secretary (3rd Flr., Main Bldg.) at the PRC Central Office and
Regional Offices processing counters.
2. Go to the cashier for payment of fees. (Ground Flr., Main Bldg.)
3. Go to the Customer Service Center for metered documentary stamp and notarization.
(Ground Flr., Annex Bldg.)
4. Submit duly accomplish application form to the Office of the Asst. Secretary.
5. After three (3) months, verify status of application at Tel. No. (02) 735-1533.
Documents Required
PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

1. Valid PRC ID as Electronics Engineer or Certificate as Electronics Engineer


2. Valid IECEP ID or Certificate of Membership in good standing from IECEP
3. Certified experience record of active self-practice and/or employment either in govt.
service or in private sector, in the format to be prescribed by the Board, indicating the
inclusive dates, companies worked for, description of specific responsibilities, relevant
accomplishments and name, position of immediate supervisor for a period of at least
seven (7) years (inclusive and/or aggregate), at least two(2) years of which are in
responsible charge of significant engineering work, from the date applicant took his/her
oath as and Electronics and Communications Engineers or Electronics Engineer.
4. Three (3) certification signed by three (3) PECE attesting that the experience record
submitted by the applicant is factual (not needed for those who have been registered
and licensed as ECE under R.A. 5734, for at least seven (7) years.
5. Original NBI Clearance (Private Sector)
6. Original Ombudsman Clearance (for those in govt service)
PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

1. Submit a proposed title & outline to the Board of EE for approval as to subject matter,
organization, technical content and presentation. If disapproved, the Board shall advise
the applicant citing the reasons therefore. If approved, please submit the following
requirements:
a. Proof of Philippine citizenship; e.g. Certificate of Naturalization, voters
affidavit/ID card, Philippine passport/visa.
b. Certificate of Live Birth and/or marriage contract (if applicant is a married
female).
c. NBI clearance (original)

d. Valid certificate of Registration and a valid Professional license (card) as a


Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
e. Certificate of Experience-PRC form 104 (revised Aug.95) duly accomplished and
certified under oath. The service record shall be reckoned from the date the
applicant took oath as an REE (Asst. EE or Asso. EE)
f. Technical Report/Thesis/Dissertation Paper

Avoid unnecessary and irrelevant datas including charts, drawings, pictures and information
not referred to in the discussion.
g. Affidavit signed by three licensed PEE. The Board may call the vouching PEE for
an interview in connection with the affidavit executed in favor of the applicant.
h. Brief description of the most significant and outstanding
achievement/contribution of the applicant in the field of electrical engineering.
2. After approval of the proposed title and outline by the Board, submit all requirements
for processing together with the five (5) copies of the Technical Report (TER). Four (4)
which will be retained by the Commission and one (1) for the applicant.
3. Payment of P600.00 for the examination fee.
ANY APPLICANT WHO FAILED IN THE ORAL EXAMINATION/INTERVIEW SHALL NOT RE-APPLY
UNTIL AFTER AT LEAST ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF NOTICE OF FAILURE. IN THE REAPPLICATION, RULE 14 SHALL BE OBSERVED.
