Ive read the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) which describe the life of Jesus.

Most of all, I paid more attention to the book of Luke because he was a doctor.

Colossians 4:14 Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings.

First, we can see the people back then commonly used the incense for worship and possibly for
health related matters though it might have been different from some types of moxa in Asian
countries.

Luke 1:10 And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were
praying outside.
1:11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.

And aromatic perfume was also used for a special occasion since it was very expensive.

Luke 7:37 When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at
the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume,
7:38 and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears.
Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

Here is one case that a civilian tried to treat wounds, which I thought quite interesting.

Luke 10:34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the
man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him.
The next one could be a cooling herb category??

Luke 16:24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip
of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

Jesus Himself was granted some special things at birth. Recently some pastors believe that myrrh
indicated His death which was His inevitable destiny as well as divine duty from the Father.

Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed
down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold
and of incense and of myrrh.

There are some unique ways that Jesus healed some patients not like others when He just
ordered them to be healed. I think this might indicate that people need to use certain types of
materials or supplements beside prayer on faith when needed.

Mark 7:33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears.
Then he spit and touched the man's tongue.
7:34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be
opened!").

John 9:6 Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on
the man's eyes.
9:7 "Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and
washed, and came home seeing.

Even some soldiers gave Jesus on the cross for anesthesia.

Luke 23:36 The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar.

Lastly, people used some herbs for burial after He was crucified.

John 19:39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night.
Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
19:40 Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was
in accordance with Jewish burial customs.

Luke 24:1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they
had prepared and went to the tomb.
