BLACK SCREEN, SUPER HERO MONTAGE.

Badass dramatic music starts playing as the girls appear on
screen one by one with their superhero costumes on. They
look beautiful, fierce and a little terrifying.
-VESTA's (Nora) eyes start to glow and until they become
fire red.
-She moves her fingers slightly until she creates fire.
-SHEENA (Bridget) does a complicated and fast karate move.
-She lands both feet on the floor and the floor cracks.
-BREEZY (Nikki) jumps really high and stays afloat.
-Close up to her face and her long hair floating on its own.
-BLUE (Alex) walks towards the camera with confident steps.
With one wave of her hand, water splashes all around her
like magic.
-She looks like she is about to say something extremely cool
when her expression changes to one of shock.
BLUE
Oh shit I forgot to record!
As the camera pans out we see that the black screen is
actually a black piece of fabric the girls have hung in
their living room with clothespins. There is a camera on a
tripod recording. Or actually not recording.
SHEENA
Again?!

VESTA
Oh come on!

BREEZY
I am NOT jumping again for
ya'all.

CREDITS
2 WEEKS EARLIER
EXT. FLAT ENTRANCE, DAY
ALEXIS (18) stands in the doorway of her new flat, holding a
a large travel bag. She wears jeans and a Star Wars T-Shirt.
ALEX. 18. MAJOR: MEDIA. FANGIRL. Appears on screen next to
her.
She rings the doorbell nervously. NORA (21) opens the door.
She has paint all over her clothes, face and body and her
hair is in a messy bun being held together by pencils.
NORA
Hello roomie!
NORA. 21. MAJOR: ART. A NICE PERSON. Appears on screen next
to her.
Nora drags Alex inside The Flat.

INT. FLAT CORRIDOR, DAY
ALEX
Nora hi! Sorry I'm late, I had to
literally take seventeen buses to
get here from my mom's house.
NORA
Don't worry about it, you gave me
time to get ready.
Alex looks at her awkwardly, doesn't understand if she's
being sarcastic or not.
NORA (CONT'D)
Welcome to your new home. As you
know, besides your roommate I am
also your landlord but that doesn't
mean I'm scary or secretly an old,
loud man. Let me get that for you.
Nora takes Alex's travel bag from her shoulder.
ALEX
Oh no don't worry about it, it'sNORA
Ah!
The travel bag is too heavy, Nora drops it.
ALEX
-too heavy.
NORA
(PICKS IT UP AGAIN)
What chu got in there partner,
rocks?
ALEX
(ATTEMPTS TO SOUND FUNNY)
Jesus Christ Marie, they're
minerals.
It's Nora's turn to look at Alex awkwardly.
ALEX (CONT'D)
(EMBARASSED)
Ah, it's just some last minute
stuff I didn't want to leave
behind. Toys, DVDsNORA
Your rich aunt's dead body?
ALEX
Huh?

NORA
Nothing buddy. Come on.
Nora goes further inside the house, carrying the bag.
ALEX
You really don't have toNORA
I insist! Before we go to your
room, let me introduce you to your
other roomates slash future best
friends. They are both so excited
to see you.
INT. NIKKI'S BEDROOM, DAY
NIKKI (20, Indian) is lying face down on her bed, snoring
loudly. She is still wearing the clothes from last night.
Her entire room is a mess, with take out food containers
everywhere and scattered notes on the floor.
NIKKI. 20. MAJOR: MEDICINE. NEEDS TO GET SHIT TOGETHER.
Appears on screen next to her.
Nora and Alex stand in her doorway.
NORA
(WHISPERING)
This is Nikki. She's almost always
out or asleep but if you're lucky
enough to find her concious she's a
a real sweetheart.
INT. BRIDGET'S BEDROOM, DAY
Almost entirely black and white, Bridget's room would
probably make Tim Burton wet himself. If Goth chic was ever
a thing, this room would be it.
ALEX
Woah.
NORA
Yes that's Bridget's room, let's go
now.
ALEX
Would she mind us being in here?
Alex turns around and BRIDGET (20) has magically appeared
behind her. She stands intimindatingly close to Alex. Alex
yelps.
BRIDGET
Yes she would.

BRIDGET. 20. MAJOR: LITERATURE. SCARY. Appears on screen
next to her.
ALEX
(EXTREMELY IMPRESSED)
That was so awesome I peed a
little.
BRIDGET
Get out and never come in here
again.
ALEX
Yes ma'am.
NORA
Bye Bridge, love ya!
The two girls leave.
INT. ALEX'S BEDROOM, DAY
Nora opens the door and drops the bag on the floor. The room
is full of Alex's moving boxes, which have already arrived.
Alex looks around happilly.
NORA
I'm gonna let you get settled in. I
need to get back to the portait of
my mom's new cat. I'll see you
later.
ALEX
Thanks a lot, this room is awesome.
Nora goes out of the room and closes the door.
NORA (CONT'D)
Oh and Alex!
She opens the door again. The boxes have magically been
unpacked, the room is full of Alex's stuff and she sits on
the bed with her laptop open, click, click, clicking away.
She looks up.
NORA (CONT'D)
I think we're going to have so much
fun together.
Nora smiles and leaves.
INT.LIVING ROOM, NIGHT
Nora stands on the stairs. She wears different clothes but
still has paint on her face and arms. Bridget and Nikki sit
on the floor, in front of a chess board.

NORA
(SHOUTS)
Alex! You've been in there for two
full days! Bathroom breaks and
sneaking into the kitchen at three
am to make Mac and Cheese don't
count!
NIKKI
(TO BRIDGET)
Has she always sounded this
stalkerish or does the new girl owe
her money already?
NORA
She does not owe me money, she's
paid the first eight weeks in
advance.
BRIDGET
So she's rich and she's quiet, she
could die in there for all you
care.
NORA
I just want us all to have some
bonding time as roomates. We live
with this girl and we wouldn't even
know her last name if it wasn't in
the lease. What do you think she's
even doing up there?
INT. ALEX'S BEDROOM, NIGHT
"MEANWHILE" APPEARS ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN LIKE IN A
COMIC BOOK.
- Alex is still click, click, clicking away on her laptop,
sitting on her desk. AN ARROW POINTING AT THE LAPTOP AND THE
WORDS "WRITING FAN FICTION" APPEAR ON SCREEN.
-Alex and her laptop have now moved things to the bed. She
clicks rapidly and looks furious. AN ARROW POINTING AT THE
LAPTOP AND THE WORDS "FIGHTING WITH SOMEONE WHO IS WRONG ON
THE INTERNET." APPEAR ON SCREEN
-Alex makes her Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond figurines kiss,
while she speaks in their voices. AN ARROW POINTING AT THIS
WEIRDNESS AND THE WORDS "RECITING FAN FICTION" APPEAR ON
SCREEN.
-Alex has changed positions on the bed. She watches
something and eats leftover Mac and Cheese. AN ARROW
POINTING AT THE LAPTOP AND THE WORDS "THE WALKING DEAD"
APPEAR ON SCREEN. Alex shouts "Don't do it Daryl!"
ALEX
Don't do it Daryl!

6.
She stuffs her mouth with more Mac and Cheese.
INT. LIVING ROOM, NIGHT.
The girls have not moved a muscle.
NIKKI
Nora, dude relax. She's going to
come out eventually. I mean she
will run out of underwear at some
point.
NORA
Someone please go up there and ask
her to come hang out.
NIKKI

BRIDGET
NO!

BRIDGET
We're in the middle of a game here.
NIKKI
Wait really? I thought we were just
staring at the squares.
NORA
Please?
NIKKI

Nikki and Bridget stand behind Alex while she clicks. AN

BRIDGET
We're all hanging out together or
else I'm going to shave your head
when you're asleep tonight.
NIKKI
I'm gonna need so much booze.

INT. KITCHEN, NIGHT.
All four girls are sitting on the kitchen table, facing each
other. There are five bottles of alcohol in front of them
and a shot glass for each.
NORA
So the game is called I Never.
NIKKI
You do know I Never, right newbie?
You're not some kind of drinking
game virgin or anything?
BRIDGET
Because if you are we're going to
have to sacrifice you on the next
full moon.
ALEX
Don't worry I've known about I
Never since the first season of
LOST.
NIKKI
Oh God.
Nikki grabs a bottle and takes a generous gulp.
NORA
Alright, Alex you're the lady of
honour tonight so why don't you
start?
ALEX
Ok..um....I never skinny dipped.
The girls are unimpressed. They all drink.
NORA
Alex starting us off lightly.
Let's step up our game!
ALEX
But that's the wildest thing I've
done this year.
BRIDGET
I never dialed my ex while
intoxicated and begged his
answering machine to take me back.
Bridget, Nikki and Nora drink, embarassed and a little sad.
NORA
But we are all strong, intelligent
women here.

ALEX
Actually, I've only been drunk once
to my second cousin's wedding and
I've never been high.
NIKKI
It's like seeing a Unicorn.
ALEX
I'm not going to get far with this
game am I?
INT. KITCHEN, NIGHT.
"AFTER A WHILE" APPEARS ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN LIKE IN A
COMIC BOOK.
"(NOT THAT LONG A WHILE)" APPEARS BELOW IT.
"(AN EMBARASSING AMOUNT OF WHILE)" APPEARS BELOW IT.
"(SERIOUSLY HOW FAST DO THESE GIRLS DRINK?)" APPEARS BELOW
IT.
Nora, Nikki and Bridget are all good and drunk. The bottles
have emptied. The kitchen looks grim. Alex is still sober
and uncomfortable.
ALEX
Yeah, never gonna happen.
NIKKI
(GIGGLING)
You're lame.
BRIDGET
How can you be a freshman and never
gotten high?
NIKKI
Or laid?
BRIDGET
Or drunk!
ALEX
I just haven't felt like it. I've
never been a big party person and
those things usually happen at
parties. Big crowds make me
nervous.
NORA
Quit teasing the youngster please!
Nora gasps.
NORA (CONT'D)
Maybe she's a spy! That's why she
has to be sober all the time so she
can keep tabs on our every move!

BRIDGET
Nora, your life is not that
interesting.
NIKKI
(POINTS AT ALEX)
This girl's getting me down. I need
more juice.
BRIDGET
There's no more. Stores are closed.
We're done for the night.
ALEX
We could sneak into the student lab
on campus...There's always loads of
alcohol there.
NORA
(IMPRESSED)
Woah!
NIKKI
Finally something I can roll with.
BRIDGET
Keep talking, Calamity Jane.
EXT. COLLEGE ENTRANCE, NIGHT.
"SO THEN" APPEARS ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN.
The girls climb a fence. Alex trips and falls.
EXT. LAB ENTRANCE, NIGHT.
"THEY BROKE" APPEARS ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN.
The girls walk towards THE LAB, shushing each other. Nikki
breaks the lock.
INT. THE LAB, NIGHT.
"INTO THE LAB" APPEARS ON THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN.
Bridget kicks the door open. The Lab looks more like it
belongs to a mad scientist than a college. There are
transparent bottles of multi colored liquids everywhere, a
skeleton, weird looking machinery, etc.
NIKKI
Yo, this place is downright scary.
BRIDGET
You've never been in here before?

10.
ALEX
Aren't you a med student?
NORA
Guys, I doubt there's anything we
can actually drink. This stuff
looks dangerous let's just go back.
ALEX
No, wait!
Alex takes an empty bottle and throws various liquids in it.
She mixes it quickly until it all becomes purple.
ALEX (CONT'D)
I never let my stupid issues stop
me from having a good time.
She drinks half of it in one go. Her pupils widen and her
cheeks become red.
LITTLE ANIMATED/COMIC BOOK THUNDERS AND SMOKE APPEAR ALL
AROUND HER.
ALEX (CONT'D)
(SMUGLY)
Who's the one with poor life
decisions now?
NIKKI
Give me that!
Nikkis takes the bottle.
NIKKI (CONT'D)
I never lied to my family about my
grades.
Nikki drinks.
NIKKI (CONT'D)
And my virginity. Or...lack there
of.
Nikki drinks. Nora takes the bottle.
NORA
I never stayed in a relationship
only because the guy told me he
would die if I ever left him.
Nora drinks. And drinks.
ALEX
Well, this escalated quickly.
BRIDGET
Does this girl always speak in
memes? Hand me that bottle.

Bridget takes the bottle.
BRIDGET (CONT'D)
I never had a best friend.
NORA
Hey what about us?
Nora gestures between herself and Nikki.
NORA (CONT'D)
We've been living together for a
year don't we count as your best
friends?
BRIDGET
You recently crossed the line from
Irrelevant to Barely Tolerable.
NIKKI
(TO NORA)
Trust me that's a milestone.
Bridget drinks until the bottle is empty.
NORA
Let me just say one thing.
INT. THE FLAT, LIVING ROOM, NIGHT.
Alex, Nora and Bridget are sprawled on the coutch, Nikki on
the floor.
NORA (CONT'D)
This is going to hurt like hell
tomorrow.
ALEX
I feel really weird.
NORA
Don't worry, it's just because
you're not used to it.
NIKKI
No, she's right something's
definitely happening.
BRIDGET
Argh, there's an earthquake in my
organs.
ALEX
I'm going to die before the
Homeland finale.
NORA
That's funny I don't feel anything-

Nora is interrupted by Nikki's snoring. She looks around and
all three of her roommates have passed out. She makes a
gagging sound and holds her stomach. Her eyes turn red and
suddenly she SPITS FIRE, high up the ceiling. Stunned and
terrified, she puts her hand on her mouth, not being able to
believe what just came out of there. She passes out too.
INT.LIVING ROOM, DAY
Alex wakes up, she looks disoriented, hangover and frankly
horrible. She rubs her eyes and opens them to see Nikki,
Nora and Bridget all looking down on her.
NORA
Please don't let the events that
are about to follow make you think
you're not welcome into our home
anymore.
Bridget grabs Alex and drags her off the couch.
INT. NORA'S BEDROOM, DAY

Nora's bedroom is very artistic. The walls are all painted

with bright colors, there are brushes and palletes
everywhere. Bridget forces Alex to sit down in front of the
cat portrait.
A SKETCH OF A "STRESSOMETER"
APPEARS ON SCREEN NEXT TO
ALEX AND GRADUALLY MOVES FURTHER UP DURING THE CONVERSATION.
NIKKI
What the hell was in that purple
shit?
ALEX
What? I don't know! Random liquids
I mixed. It seemed like a good idea
at the time.
NORA
Sweetie, try to think.
ALEX
I don't know, it was all chemical
stuff! There's no way I'll be able
to remember. Do you know how long
it took me to learn the water
formula? And that's like only four
letters.
BRIDGET
It's three.
ALEX
Did you all wake up with bad
stomachs or something?

BRIDGET
Not exactly.
Bridget picks up a glass vase. She flicks it with two
fingers and it smashes into tiny pieces all over the room.
Alex screams.
NORA
That was mine!
BRIDGET
I had to demonstrate. I became The
Hulk overnight.
NORA (TO ALEX)
Alex could you please not touch the
portrait the paint is still wet.
NIKKI
And what about me? Look at this!
ALEX
What am I looking at?
NIKKI
The top of my head.
ALEX
I don't see any-HOLY CRAP THERE IS
SMOKE COMING OUT OFF THE TOP OF
YOUR HEAD.
Nikki's head has indeed started fuming.
THE STRESSOMETER IS GOING CRAZY.
NIKKI
And that's not even the worst part.
Nikki blows briefly and a strong wind overtakes the entire
room. The cat portrait almost falls down.
NORA
ENOOOOOUGH.
Nora's eyes turn red and fire comes out of her shoulders and
hands. Everyone else looks terrified.
ALEX'S STRESSOMETER IS ALMOST AT BREAKING POINT.
Nora grabs Alex by the neck, lifts her off the chair and
crashes her against the wall.
ALEX
Nora let me go!

NORA
Alright Heisenberg, things look
really simple from where I'm
standing.
NIKKI
(TO BRIDGET)
Is it wrong to say I'm a little
turned on by Nora right now?
NORA (CONT'D)
You were the one who came up with
the Break Into A Student Lab plan,
then you made us drink and today
we're all slowly turning into the
Power Rangers except you. So either
you start talking or I turn you
into toast.
THE STRESSOMETER BREAKS.
INT. KITCHEN, DAY
We see a bottle of orange juice suddenly breaking on its
own. The water fountain suddenly starts pouring water
uncontrollably. Two glasses of milk also break into
smitherins.
INT. KITCHEN CABINET, DAY
We see the water pipes starting to break.
INT. BATHROOM, DAY
The shower explodes.
INT. LIVING ROOM, DAY
The smoke detectors go off, spraying the entire house
water.

INT. NORA'S BEDROOM, DAY

The girls are soaked. Nora's eyes go back to normal and,
almost as if coming out of a trance, she lets Alex down.
NIKKI
I am definitely moving.
EXT. THE ROOF, DAY
The girls stand next to each other, still soaked. Bridget
steps forward.
BRIDGET
I figured it out.
ALEX
Figured what out?

BRIDGET
What's happening to us. Whatever
was in thatNORA
Wait!
Nora runs downstairs.
Nora appears again with a stereo or a Beats Pill or whatever
the kids call it these days. She puts on some lobby jazz
music.
NORA (CONT'D)
You're about to explain something
and I have short attention span.
Music helps me focus.
BRIDGET
Whatever was in that purple liquid
Alex mixed shouldn't have entered
our system and now it's punishing
us for it. It's reacting
differently on each of us,
obviously, but there's a pretty
clear pattern in our side effects.
Nikki you're the med student, do
you want to take over?
NIKKI
Aaaah...I'm gonna let you get this
one. It's too basic for me.
Bridget rolls her eyes at the mere stupidity of her
roommates.
THE SCREEN SPLITS IN FOUR. NIKKI APPEARS IN THE FIRST
SQUARE. LOBBY JAZZ MUSIC IS ALWAYS IN THE BACKGROUND.
BRIDGET (V.O.)
Nikki can make mini hurricanes that
fit in a bedroom and smoke starts
coming out of her head like her
brain's being fried.
NORA APPEARS IN THE SECOND SQUARE.
BRIDGET (V.O.) (CONT'D)
Nora's bodyparts radiate fire and
her eyes go red like a demon. We
would burn her for sorcery if we
lived in the Middle Ages.
NORA
Ok can we do this without the
commentary please?
ALEX APPEARS IN THE THIRD SQUARE.

BRIDGET (V.O.) (CONT'D)
Not much to say about Aquaman here
except that she turned our house
into a baptism.
BRIDGET APPEARS IN THE FOURTH SQUARE.
BRIDGET (V.O.) (CONT'D)
As for me, I woke up not being able
to control my own strength and I'm
growing weirdly fond of trees...get
it?
The screen goes back to normal.
NORA
This music's not working.
BRIDGET
Jesus, it's not astrophysics!
Hurricanes, fireballs, water
sprinkles, trees!
ALEX
Oh my God I get it! We're all
pokemon!
BRIDGET
Is she having a stroke or
something?
ALEX
No really! Bulbasaur, Squirtle,
Charmander and Pidgeot.They all
represent a different element of
nature.
BRIDGET
Oh we might be going somewhere.
NIKKI
So you're saying I'm the one that
looks like a chicken?
ALEX
I'm saying that you are getting
powers related to the air! Nora is
fire, I am water and Bridget is
earth. Right?
BRIDGET
Yes. You'll get your gold star
later. The question is, what do we
do know?
ALEX
What do you mean? This is awesome!

NIKKI
Which part of this, is awesome?
ALEX
Guys we are supernatural beings
now. We can literally become a
superhero squad.
NORA
Alex, this is dangerous. I couldn't
even recognise myself back there.
I've never hurt anyone in my life
and I almost strangled you today.
ALEX
No you didn't! You were just upset
and confused. Besides it was kinda
hot.
NIKKI
Yeah it was.
BRIDGET
Nora is right. We don't know what
other side effects can appear and
for how long. We don't even know if
we'll be able to control them.
ALEX
We'll learn to control them!
NIKKI
I'm with them. I say we just forget
this ever happened and try to hide
our weirdness the best way we can.
ALEX
No! That's the opposite of what
needs to happen.
NORA
Sorry sweetie.
BRIDGET
I have to get to class.
Bridget leaves. Nora and Nikki follow. Alex stays on the
roof, looking sad. FADE OUT
"SAD MUSICAL MONTAGE" APPEARS ON SCREEN.

SAD MUSICAL MONTAGE

A Sad Song starts playing.
-Bridget sits alone outside of class, reading a Sad Book and
smoking. She looks up and stares sadly at the void.

-Nikki is in class also, dressed in her medical robe, taking
notes. Sadly.
-CLOSE UP to her notepad which is full of doodles of sad
faces.
-NORA mops the floors in a sad way.
-Alex is in the bath, drowning in her sadness. Her fingers
form smalls shapes in the water.
-With one towel around her body and one over her head, Alex
lies on her bed and opens her laptop again.

EXT. THE STREETS, EVENING.

Bridget heads back home, holding her books and notes after
class. Suddenly she sees ROMANO (26),a thief trying and
failing miserably to break into a car. She stops walking.
BRIDGET
You've got to be kidding me.
Bridget silently debates with herself whether or not to go
to him until she sighs in frustration.
BRIDGET (CONT'D)
Damn it!
Bridget starts walking towards Romano. He doesn't notice
her.
BRIDGET (CONT'D)
If you're going to steal a car be a
little more suave about it at
least.
Romano jumps in shock.
ROMANO
What?!
BRIDGET
Did the word 'suave' throw you off?
Make less noise you imbacille, the
entire block can hear you.
ROMANO
Who are you?! You sound like my
mother.
BRIDGET
I'm the person who's going to call
the police unless you run away from
this car right now.

Romano looks like he is in panic and doesn't know how to

react to this. He decides to keep trying to break into the
car but he looks insecure and awkward.
BRIDGET
It's been a crazy day but I'm
pretty sure I have not turned
invisible.
Bridget is now dangerously close to him. Romano turns to
face her.
ROMANO
Please leave me alone, I do not
hit girls.
BRIDGET
Famous last words.
Bridget gives Romano an EPIC KICK.
EVERYTHING ELSE BESIDES THEM TURNS ANIMATED AND SLOW MOTION.
BACK TO REAL TIME. Romano is on the ground, holding his
bloody nose. Bridget lands and seems completely surprised at
herself.
ROMANO
YOU MIGHT SOUND LIKE MY MOM BUT YOU
SURE AS HELL ARE NOT AS NICE.
Romano walks away, crying.
INT. DANCE CLASS, EVENING.
Nikki is on skype with her mother FREYA and her father KRIS.
She has her reading glasses and white robe on. They speak in
INDIAN. (translation from English to happen later)
KRIS
Nikki? Can you see us?
NIKKI
Hey dad! You don't have to be this
loud I can hear you just fine.
FREYA
Why aren't you at University are
you slacking off again?
NIKKI
I just finished class! I'm about to
go to the library to study right
now.

FREYA
Good. The less time you spend with
those girls you share a flat with
the better.
KRIS
Won't it be better to live with
your husband next year?
NIKKI
I will think about it dad I
promise! Listen I have to go now
ok? So much studying to do. I love
you bye!
Nikki puts her phone away. She takes off her glasses and
white robe and lets her hair down. She joins the rest of her
dance group who are warming up. ANTHONY (30) a handsome
trainer takes the front of the stage. Nikki takes her place
next to another dancer.
ANTHONY
Alright you bow-legged monkeys
let's get started.
NIKKI
(TO THE DANCER NEXT TO HER)
Why does he always talk like a
pirate?
Anthony presses play and the sound of a dance/hip hop song
fills the room. Everyone starts following his steps. Nikki
struggles to keep up. She takes a deep breath, closes her
eyes and the hip hop music is BLOCKED OUT MOMENTARILLY. She
then comes back to reality and starts killing it on the
dance floor, doing every single move precily right. She
moves like the wind. She's fast, graceful and confident.
Before the song is about to end she jumps.
EVERYTHING ELSE BESIDES HER TURNS ANIMATED AND SLOW MOTION.
Nikki comes back to reality to see that everybody, including
Anthony, has stopped to stare.
ONE OF THE DANCERS
I'm sorry I thought this was a
beginners class?
INT. ALEX'S BEDROOM, NIGHT
Alex is in her pyjamas, still in front of her laptop. She
looks sad. The lights are all off except a lamp on by her
bed.
AN ARROW POINTING AT IT AND THE WORDS "SENTIMENTAL OLD VIDEO
STOLEN FROM MOTHER'S COLLECTION AND DIGITALLY ALTERED TO
PLAY IN A COMPUTER" ARE ON THE SCREEN.
Nora walks in.

NORA
Hey...can I come in for a minute?
ALEX
Nora I'm sorry I don'tNORA
I made us Let's Make Up cupcakes.
ALEX
Come in immidiately.
Nora walks in Alex's room and sits on her bed besides her.
She leaves the plate of cupcakes standing between them.
Nora's eyes catches the screen.
NORA
Is that you in that little outfit?
ALEX
(SMILES)
Yeah...and those are my two older
brothers trying to make me fly.
COMPUTER SCREEN:
We see a tiny Alex dressed up as Wonder Woman and two bigger
boys trying to hold her up their heads so she can "fly".
There is an older man in the corner, laughing at all this.
NORA
And who's that?
ALEX
That's my dad. He died a couple of
years after that video was taken.
NORA
Oh no Alex I am so sorry.
ALEX
It's ok...He was just so passionate
about raising us to believe in
magic and extraordinary things. You
know, he made me watch Star Wars
before I could even read.
Nora chuckles.
ALEX (CONT'D)
I just really wanted to make him
proud of me I guess.
Nora looks down. She doesn't know what to say. Alex sighs
and grabs a cupcake. She takes a generous bite and Nora
follows her example.
NORA
Hey wanna see something cool?

Nora moves her fingers until she creates fire.
NORA (CONT'D)
I learned how to do that a couple
of hours ago. We're going to be
paying a lot less for electricity
folks.
Alex laughs. Nora and Alex share a look.
NORA (CONT'D)
I'm sorry I shoved you against a
wall today.
ALEX
We're cool.
INT. FLAT CORRIDOR, NIGHT
Bridget walks in, flushed, and strongly pushes the door shut
behind her.
INT. ALEX'S BEDROOM, NIGHT
The room starts to shake.
ALEX
What the hell is that?

INT. FLAT CORRIDOR, NIGHT

Nora and Alex stand on the stairs, looking down on Bridget.
NORA
What happened to you?!
BRIDGET
(STARTS WALKING UP THE STAIRS)
Nothing, don't worry about it. I'm
going to my room don't talk to me
ever.
Nikki enters.
NIKKI
HOLY SHIT. HOOOOLY SHIT. FUCK. OH
MY GOD. HOLY SHIT.
Nora, Alex and Bridget look down on Nikki.
NORA
What happened to YOU?

ALEX
This is probably rude of me because
I don't know Nikki that well but
may I go out on a limb here and say
she's possibly high?
BRIDGET
No she only does pot and pot makes
her lazy not hyper.
Nikki creeps up on them on the stairs with a paranoid smile
on her face.
NIKKI
Stop talking about me like I'm not
in the room. Ah, never mind I'm too
phyched to care. All of you, to our
Secret Meeting Spot! That's a lame
name. Never mind we'll figure out
the name later.
Nikki climbs the stairs enthusiastically. The other stare at
her.

NIKKI (CONT'D)
The roof! Let's go!
EXT. THE ROOF, NIGHT.
"AN HOUR AND AN INCREDIBLY DETAILED NARRATION OF A DANCE
ROUTINE LATER" APPEARS ON SCREEN.
NIKKI (CONT'D)
And then I jumped but I didn't just
jump ok I mother effing FLOATED
above the ground and everybody fell
at least 30% in love with me,
including our foxy instructor
Anthony whom I'm totally planning
on landing later.
NORA
Right Nikki, I'm sure we're all
very happy for you and your
quote-unquote "sick dance skillz"
but let me just be the one to ask
if there is a point to this story.
NIKKI
Dude the point is dancing naked in
front of you with a neon sock on
its genitals.
ALEX

BRIDGET
It's her new powers. They made her
a better dancer.
NIKKI
DING DING DING! We have a winner!
BRIDGET
It happened to me too.
ALEX
Oh you go to dance classes
together?
BRIDGET
Somebody gag her. No, there was
this pathetic guy trying to steal a
car and before I knew what I was
doing I ended up...kicking him
really hard on his chin.
NIKKI
HOLY SHIT. His chin?!
ALEX
How did you even get up there?
NIKKI
Oh my God show me, please show me.
BRIDGET
I'd rather have Nora set me on
fire.
NIKKI
(STARTS POKING BRIDGET)
Come on, it will be a one time
thing. Just do it once and then
never think about it again. Come
show me. You know you want to show
me. Bridge I really want to see it.
Come on Wreck-It-Ralph!
Bridget gets up, jumps, does a perfect kick, knocks over
three flowerpots and upon landing, the floor cracks.
Everybody freaks out. Bridget smiles.
NIKKI
Oh my God. See I can't stop now, I
gotta see more.Just once. Alex show
us what you got.
Alex looks nervous. She takes a deep breath and approaches
the part of the floor Bridget cracked. She bends down and
touches the floor. Soon there is water running inside the
cracks.
NORA
Alex that is amazing!

NIKKI
Nora, your turn! Blow my mind.
Nora smiles and starts rubbing her hands together until she
creates a fireball again. Everybody stares, impressed. Then
Nikki steps closer and gently blows on it. Hundreds of tiny
fire lights start sorrounding them. The girls are
speechless.
ALEX
I hope no else saw that.
NIKKI
Don't worry everyone sleeps at ten
around here.
NORA
Yes we do.
BRIDGET
This is...I don't hate this.
Alex seems to be thinking over something but she is not sure
she should say it out loud. She gathers up some courage and
does it anyway.
ALEX
I think we should keep using our
powers.
Everyone turns to look at her.
ALEX (CONT'D)
I don't believe what happened to
us was a freak accident. I think it
was fate. Yes, it sounds cheesy but
we've been given a gift and we'd be
stupid to turn our backs on it. I
don't know about you but I am
feeling pretty awesome right now
and I'd do anything to make it
last.
NIKKI
Newbie's got a point. I mean, look
at Bridget she's flushed! (TO
BRIDGET) I don't think I've ever
seen color on your face.
BRIDGET
Shut up.
NORA
(TO BRIDGET)
We did have a theory about you
being a vampire.

BRIDGET
Zip it. There's no way this could
ever work. What do we do, we put on
costumes and masks and defend the
City that Always Sleeps? Nothing
ever happens here.
ALEX
Trust me, I know an Origins story
when I see one. Things will start
happening soon.
NORA
This all sounds very exciting but
we're college students. How am I
going to deal with deadlines and
being a human radiator?
ALEX
You're going to have to deal with
it anyway! Those powers will take
over your life whether you like it
or not. You might as well have some
fun with it!
NIKKI
"Might as well have some fun."
Girl's just layed down my life
motto. What the hell. I'm in.
ALEX
Yes!
NIKKI
Nora, I know your better judgement
is fighting with your need to feel
included right now so just give in
to that needyness.
ALEX

NORA
I know I'm going to live to regret

NIKKI
Alright! Bridget?
ALEX
I know you don't really like me all
that much but don't you want to
kick stupid people on their chins
again?

(APPEARS TO BE THINKING)
I'm in but let's get one thing
clear. This does not mean we're
going to turn into The Brady Bunch.
We are NOT eating cookie dough ice
cream and watching About Time
together any time soon.
NORA
Damn that sounds amazing.
NIKKI
Bring it in everybody!
The girls join hands. THE FRAME FREEZES ON THEIR HANDS AND
SLOWLY TURNS INTO AN ANIMATED SCENE WITH LEAVES GROWING OUT
OF BRIDGET'S HAND, FIRE CIRCLING NORA'S HAND, WATER AROUND
ALEX'S HAND AND SMOKE AROUND NIKKI'S HAND.
TRANSFORMATION MONTAGE
-Alex is on her laptop, typing fast again.
-We see on the screen that she has created a SUPERHERO BLOG.
She types the first entry.
-Nora is in her room, drawing.
-We see on paper that she is designing the girls costumes
and masks.
-Nikki and Bridget are on the roof, wearing their masks and
working on their kicks. Alex is videotaping it.
-Nora writes SUPERHERO NAMES on a big piece of paper. The
others watch her do it.
ALEX
I've had a superhero name since the
age of four. It's Blue, which I
believe fits perfectly for me
because water is blue.
BRIDGET
This is the person whose idea we've
all agreed to.
-Bridget pretends to be reading Kafka on campus. We see that
she is secretly reading superhero comic books.
-Nora measures Alex for the costumes and Alex is ticklish.
-Back to the superhero names scene.
NIKKI
I want to be Breezy.

NORA
I can be Vesta. She was a Roman
Goddess of the hearth and its fire
and in her temple, a perpatual
flame was tended by the vestal
virgins.
ALEX
Babynames.com?
NORA
Yes, actually.
-Alex sits on the kitchen table with four empty bottles in
front of her. She fixes her stare at them and the bottles
start filling up.
-Nora sews fabric together. She hasn't noticed her hair is
on fire again.
-Back to the superhero names scene
ALEX
Bridget you can be Sheena. Like in
that Ramones song!
BRIDGET
YOU know the Ramones?
NIKKI
Said the white girl unorinacally.
-Alex uploads a video of Nikki dancing and moving really
fast on their blog.
-Nora guides the three girls who are keeping their eyes
closed to her room.
NORA
Now open!
-The girls open their eyes and see Nora standing next to
four mannequins wearing their hand made costumes. They are
all stunned. Nora smiles proudly.
-The girls are all on the roof again, tipsy and laughing.
Nora throws nuts to Nikki and Nikkis makes them float before
making them slowly land on her mouth.
-Alex, dressed in her superhero outfit, sets the camera on a
tripod and walks away.
-VESTA, SHEENA, BLUE AND BREEZY MAKE THEIR FIRST APPEARENCE
ON SCREEN.

INT. LIVING ROOM, DAY
Still in their superhero costumes, the girls are hanging out
in the living room, looking bored. Nikki and Bridget "play"
chess again. Alex is on her phone. Nora eats a cupcake.
NIKKI
So....now what?
