INFORMATION
CLASS REGISTRATION
Registration for all classes is August 25, 2014
September 20, 2014. All classes begin the week
of September 29, 2014 and will end on December
6, 2014. There will be NO makeup classes for
legal Holidays.
REGISTRATION
9:30am to 6:00pm and on Saturday 10:00am
4:00pm. Accepted payment is by check, money
order or cashier check. Make the check payable
to: LA City, Department of Recreation and
Parks. Registration for classes and sport activities
will be accepted Monday Friday. There is a fee
for any check returned by the bank. Please write
your drivers license at the top of your check.
Postdated checks cannot be accepted.
Information on the registration form must be
complete, accurate, and legible.
Fees for classes, camp, and sport activities will
not be prorated once the activity has started.
REFUND POLICY
NO refunds will be issued unless Pan Pacific
Recreation Center cancels the class, sport, camp
or activity.

PICNIC INFORMATION
The picnic areas are for picnics only. A picnic
is defined as an outing with food eaten in the
open.
Gazebos 1 and 2 are for larger groups up to
100 people.
Single tables are for small groups, less than 25.
Applications for permits are accepted on a first
come, first served basis and must be done at
the Recreation Center Office. Payment is due
at the time of submitting the application. The
application is not a permit. A typed copy of the
permit shows that your application has been
approved. Acceptable means of payment is by
check, cashiers check, or money order and is
to be made out to: LA City, Department of
Recreation and Parks.
If using a catering service, the name of the
company along with a copy of their insurance
certificate must be provided at the time of
submitting the application.
NO gas/propane grills, pinatas, amplified sound
are allowed. All decorations must be removed
at the end of your event and disposed of
properly. Any broken balloons parts are to be
picked up and put in the trash.
Three weeks are needed to process your
application.
For groups over 100, the event may be
classified as a Special Event and charged
accordingly.
Special events must have a Facility Use
Permit. This includes events that have any of
the following: games, booths, entertainment,
catering, or use of any other area besides the
picnic area.
There are NO REFUNDS for inclement
weather. If it rains, you may reschedule your
event. Bring your receipt and permit to the
office, and another available date will be
reserved for you.

This Class will focus on independence, social interaction, sharing and following directions while having fun.

BEGINNING KARATE
This class will focus on physical health, agility, discipline and concentration, which are skills
you will use throughout life. Karate is one of the most traditional martial arts, in essence an
unarmed combat system, employing kicking, striking and defense blocking with arms and legs.

In this beginning sewing class we will cover basic sewing techniques such as winding a
bobbin, threading the sewing machine, and sewing a straight seam. We will also complete
six or more projects in this session of class.

each time you use the equipment. Be cognizant of other members and do not over stay
your welcome. Cost is $10.00/month

SENIOR CLUB
The Senior Club meets on the last Thursday of each month unless otherwise
stated. Members gather at 1:00pm for entertainment, information, and
fellowship. Muffins and coffee are served in the lunch room after the meeting.
Call the Membership/Trip Office at (323) 935-7303 for trip information.
Membership in the club is required to participate in all trips and bingo.
LUNCH PROGRAM
The Jewish Family Service provides a hot lunch program to seniors 60 years of age
and older. Lunch is served at 11:30am Monday through Friday. A donation of $2.25 is
suggested. Advanced reservations are needed. Please call the Nutrition Coordinator at
(323) 938-8612. The Lunch Room closes at 1:00pm.
MEDICAL SERVICES
Medical Services at Pan Pacific Senior Center are provided by Cedars-Sinai Medical
Center. The health and program services are designed to enhance the seniors health
and quality of life. The following services will be provided at no cost at Pan Pacific
Senior Citizen Center:
