Astrophysics and Soft Condensed Matter Physics distributed over four semesters during the span of
theircourse.
Ours is the only course in the country where thrust is given to Experimental Physics. Students are
exposedtothevariousscientificinstrumentsandtechniquesusedinresearch.Wehaveprocuredthe
experimental kits developed by Prof. R. Srinivasan, Indian Academy of Sciences in our laboratories.
Ours is the only college in Karnataka where an elective course in Soft Condensed Matter Physics is
offered.
College library equipped with a good collection of books and latest journals are accessible to
students. The students are also provided with internet facility. Raman Research Institute (RRI),
Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), and Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc) are extending their
active support to the course. Students get an opportunity to access the research labs at Indian
AcademyofSciencesandotherinstitutesandworkundertheguidanceofprofessionalscientists.
We engage the services of eminent scientists to conduct workshops and such exposures lead the
students in getting project assignments under them. Regular talks by visiting scientists from various
