Lisa Simpson Co-ordinate Portrait

Remember that coordinates are written in brackets.

(x,y) x comes first, like it does in the alphabet and y

goes second.
3

Remember that the x-axis goes across (x looks like a

cross) and the y-axis goes up. Where they cross is
x

-2

(0,0). Also remember the axes should have the same

gap between each of the numbers.
The point plotted is (-2,3). Go along to -2 on the x-axis
and then go up to 3 on the y-axis.

Plot the coordinates in each section and then join them in the order they are written down.
Each section is a separate part of the picture.
Section 1 (Lisas Beads):
(-3,-11), (-3, -10), (-2,-9), (-3,-8), (-2,-9), (-1,-8), (0,-9), (1,-5), (2,-9), (3,-8), (2,-1), (2,-9), (1,-10),
(0,-9), (-1,-10), (-2,-9), (-3,-10)
Section 2 (Lisas Mouth):
(-4,-5), (-2,-5), (0,-3)
Section 3 (Lisas Nose):
(-7,-1), (-6,-2), (-4,-2)
Section 4 (Lisas Ear):
(3,-4), (3,-3), (2,-2), (3,-2), (4,-3), (4,-4)
Section 5 (Part of Lisas left eye):
(-6,1), (-4,1), (-4,2), (-3,3), (-4,4), (-6,4)
Section 6 (Lisas right eye):
(-4,1), (-3,0), (-1,0), (0,1), (0,2), (-1,3), (-3,3)

Now join up... (Lisas eye-lashes):
(-7,3) to (-8,4)

(-3,3) to (-3,4)

(0,2) to (1,3)

(-6,4) to (-7,5)

(-2,3) to (-2,4)

Four mystery pictures!

Draw an x-axis starting at -11 and finishing at 11 and a y-axis from -11 to 11. For each picture, plot
the coordinates and join them together with straight lines in the order which they are written.
Picture A:
(3,2), (4,8), (2,5), (1,7), (3,10), (5,11), (6,10), (7,11), (9,10), (11,7), (10,5), (8,8), (9,2), (7,1), (5,1), (3,2)
Picture B:
(5,-8), (11,-8), (10,-10), (2,-10), (1,-7), (4,-7), (5,-8), (5,-1), (1,-5), (4,-6), (5,-1), (11,-7), (5,-7)
