Let's Go Camping
Now is the time to get ready for the
annual campout. Spring is upon us, can
summer be far behind. This year’s
campout is scheduled for August 11th
through August 13th at Riverside Park
in New Lisbon. Prices for this year have
not been determined. This year’s prices
are $10.00 for a site with no electricity
and $15.00 for a site with electricity.
A potluck dinner will be held on
Saturday night. Bring your own meat
April General Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order by President Jeff
Parrish at 12:30pm. Karen Beltz,
Sergeant of Arms, led the Pledge of
Allegiance. Lynessa Rissell, President of
REACT Services Diversified, Inc.
#4813, welcomed the Council to Zion.
Let the record show that Larry Fry,
Immediate Past President, is excused
from this meeting. Let the record show
that we have 5 delegates and 7 guests
representing 3 teams present at this
meeting and we do have a quorum
present. Present at this meeting was a
potential new team.
Minutes January General Meeting: A
delegate from team 4364 gave the
motion with a second motion by a
delegate from team 4813 to accept the
January meeting minutes as printed with
corrections noted. Motion carried.
Minutes Board Meeting: None. Next
Board Meeting if needed will be at the
July Council Meeting
Treasurer’s Report/Bills: A delegate

meals, you are on your own.
A registration form for the campout was
included in the last REACTER. If you
do not have it, form will be available at
the July meeting. Fill it out and return it
as soon as possible. If you find out you
can come and have not sent in your
registration, let Jean Fry know you will
be coming so that she has an accurate
count.

Waukesha team to find out the status of
the check so that the checkbook will be
current.
District Directors/Team News: See Old

Waukesha: They had the Trailbreaker.
It is unknown what events they have
coming up.
FDL: They had the Taste of Fond du
Lac at the end of February. They did not

joining us at Riverside Park.

members went to Weather Spotting
Class in March. The team donated
money to help benefit the school library
of one of its junior members. As a result
of the money that was donated to the
school also was able to donate over 400
books to several organizations that
Scholastic Bookfairs help.
Milwaukee: Nothing to report at this
time.
New Team: The name of the new team
will be CSM REACT. They will be in

 April Minutes continued
the Calumet, Manitowoc, and
Sheboygan counties. Members of this
team will include Nate Van Da Huvel
and Brian Turkewicz who both have
been members of REACT before. They
have presented they team charter
application for the Council’s approval.
The team will work with the local
emergency departments and with their
local Salvation Army. A delegate from
team 4364 made the motion with a
second motion by the delegate from
team 4813 to accept the charter
application as presented at 1:15pm. Jeff
Parrish, President, will send the
approval to RI and the team will receive
their team charter number then. Motion
carried. Ed Beltz, Council Vice
President, will work with the team. Let
the record show that we now have 7
delegates and 5 guests representing 4
teams present.

Correspondence: Received a WI
REACTer back after it was determined
that Door County had closed their PO
Box.
Committee Reports
Campout: August 11-13, 2006. Fees
have not changed this year. It is $10 for
non-electric and $15 for electric. We
will have use of the pavilion again for
the potluck dinner.
Council Bylaws: none to report
Team Bylaws: Please make sure that you
turn in yours so that we can add it to
your teams’ files.
Membership: We can always use new
members! At the Winter Board Meeting
for RI they said that the need for
members is desperate all over.
Newsletter: Can use articles at any time.

Hero Act 1646 for emergency radio
operators.

Old Business
Marathon County: Lynessa has been
trying to find out when their meetings
are but the numbers that everyone has
given to her are either fax numbers or no
answers.
Appreciation: Done.
District Director Assignment/Division:
The state will be divided into 2 districts:
North and South. Ed Beltz will be the
District Director for the North District
that includes the following areas: CMS,
Fond du Lac, and Door County. The
Council Board will handle Marathon
County at this time. Lisa Parrish will be
the District Director for the South
District that includes the following
areas: Tri-City, Waukesha, RSD,
Portage, and Milwaukee.
No other Old Business to report.
New Business
Possible New Teams: See above in
regards to the letter from the New
Holstein area. In regards to the person
who is from the Woodruff area: The
person shows to have a criminal
background that is a felony and as a
result of this a delegate from team 4813
with a second motion from a delegate
from team 4364 to deny the application
for a team charter. It was discussed that
Jeff Parrish, President, send a letter to
the gentleman in regards to the denial of
the charter. In this letter it will be stated
that if he would like to discuss this
matter he may do so before the Council
Board at the July Meeting in Fond du
Lac. Motion carried.
Pins: Fond du Lac will be selling Breast
Cancer Awareness pins as a fundraiser.
If you are interested in buying one they
will have them at the July Meeting.

motion with a second motion from
delegates from team 4813 to adjourn the
meeting. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 2:15pm.

in the back door.

Team News
4089 - Waukesha Area REACT
They did Trailkbreaker Marathon on
April 1 and assissted Milwaskee with
the March of Dime Walk in April. The
team worked the St. John Neumann
Festival in early June.
4364 - Fond du Lac Area REACT
The team did the Memorial Day Parade
and recently finished doing Walleye
Weekend. They held a Brat Fry on June
17th and have several more throughout
the summer. They have gained dix new
members.
4365 -Tri City REACT
They had two events in May.
4712- Milwaukee County REACT
They will be helped Waukesha with the
Trailbreaker Marathon and did the
March of Dimes Walk in April. They
did West Allis Western Days in June.
4813 - REACT Services Diversified
They attended an informational meeting
on Avian Bird Flu and helped ESDA
with traffic control.
