Community Connections January Inservice Day Camps

Dates: January 19 (MLK Day) and January 20 (WCSU only)


To register, mail sign-up (and registration form*) with payment by January 15 to:

Call Guy or Alex, 223-3456, to check on space after January 15 deadline.
*If you have filled out a 2014-2015 CC registration form, you do not need to do another one.

Bowling, Bingo, and Service
All CC schools!

K-6 meeting at Union Elementary School

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we will combine a trip to the Twin City Family Fun Center and some community
service activities at Woodridge Nursing Home! Drop off and pick up is at Union Elementary School. In the
morning, students will make handmade gifts for the residents of Woodridge Nursing Home. Then we will travel to
the Twin City Family Fun Center to go bowling. In the early afternoon we will travel to Woodridge to present our
gifts and share a Bingo game and some laughter. Finally, we will return to Union Elementary School with time to
play on the awesome playground and do some sledding!
Be sure to send along outdoor winter gear.

Chocolate Covered Science
This camp is for WCSU schools onlyUnion has school
K-6 meeting at Rumney Elementary

Join us for an awesome field trip camp that includes a trip to Burlingtons ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science
Center, and a factory tour at Lake Champlain Chocolates! We will meet at Rumney Elementary school and then
take the bus to the ECHO Aquarium in Burlington. We will spend the morning exploring the aquarium and meeting
its aquatic residents. After lunch we will journey to Lake Champlain Chocolates for a factory tour and some free
samples. Then back to Rumney for some fun games in the Gym!

You may send your sign up form, payment, and registration form (if a new one is required) to
your schools Site Coordinator or mail it to CC Central at 73 Main St., Montpelier, VT 05602

ALL THE BASICS
Camps run from 8:30-4:30; extended care is available

Camps cost $30-40 per day (sliding scale) unless otherwise


indicated in the description.
Before (7:30) and aftercare (5:30) is available for $5 per use.
Let us know your schedule. Pre-registration is required!
After 5:30, there is a $5 late fee for every 15 min.!!!
We need a current registration/medical form for your child.
If you have not filled one out this year, we must have one
before your child can attend (visit our website).
We will provide healthy snacks.
Transportation is provided for all trips.
Admission costs are included.
Please let us know how we may best help your child enjoy
camp, and discuss any special needs.
CC field trips are money-free activities. We will not go to
gift shops, vending machines, arcades, etc.
Personal audio and video devices are allowed at your own risk,
and only on the bus .
For weather related questions, space availability,
or to report an absence, call 223-3456.

PACKING LIST

Send a healthy bag lunch with your child. (no soda or candy)
Send appropriate clothing/items: sneakers, outdoor gear,
dry socks, jackets, boots, hats, gloves, etc.
Send a water bottle.
Please label your childs belongings!

Space is limited
for these camps, so register early!
Register by January 15
Sorryno refunds for cancellations
after January 15. We have hired staff and held a
place for your child based on your registration.
Payment or payment plan must be
received by January 15.
Community Connections sites are
licensed childcare programs. We accept
childcare subsidies ask us about it!

Kids will be kids! But...

Community Connections staff are experienced


and trained in working with kids of all ages.
To protect the safety and well-being of all children,
we have expectations and standards for behavior.
If a child is unable to meet those standards,
even with all the support we are able to provide,
we may have to call the parent or guardian
and ask that the child be removed from camp.
Please help us by telling us anything about your
child that will help us meet his or her needs.

Note to Parents and Guardians: Were in Vermont, and the weather is unpredictable. We run our camps rain or shine, so please
send your child dressed appropriately- layers, walking shoes, warm clothes, rain coats, hats, gloves, extra dry clothes, etc.
