Preface

BOOK on MIS
The world of commerce and trade as we know it is rapidly changing globalization has become
embedded, trade and finance is hot-blooded, customers are more demanding and competition has
merely augmented. Organizations have gradually more turned to technology to aid triumph against the
challenges of the 21st Century.
Integration is the buzzword of this book or rather a business model in a present scenario, into which
these whole concepts evolved. A community of developers working mutually means the best
technology wins. And we've originate that a mutual culture is not only the greatest technique to build
technology, but also the finest mode to encourage innovation transversely in corporate.
We the entire human community must have heard a story from our elders about the Hat Vendor who
has managed to take back his entire caps by applying the sense-of-humor and his tactical skills from
the imitate monkeys. Now same Topi-wala shares his experience with the new generation and
guides them that if similar circumstances occur in a coming future while passing through jungle, s/he
should follow the interrelated technique. His son faces the identical situation during his jungle visit and
got up from sleep while taking a big nap and shocked to see that all his caps are with the monkeys who
are sitting on a tall tree. Now recalling his fathers lesson, he tries to implement the same formula i.e.
by throwing his cap at a surface and waiting for a response from the monkeys end to carry out. After a
while he observed that there was no reaction from the monkeys end rather a baby chimpanzee took
his cap and ran away. Seeing this, the boy got panic and questioned to monkey that You are an ape
and you have to resemble like a human beings. That small chimp reciprocate that we have learnt
from our shortcomings and finally revamped our syllabi at this juncture. So we are now, not following
the footsteps of Humans.
Subsequently the moral of this above-mentioned thought or rather a guru-mantra in a present scenario
is adaptation of a change. Thus reminds me a famous saying Only thing constant in the world is
change. The MIS system is also very well-versed with this magic terminology and follows the similar
modus-opernadi. In this whole episode of book or while going through the distinguished chapters i.e.
MIS System- Synchronizing Technology and Management, learners will come across this terminology
dominating and making its presence in a versatile mode in diverse appearance and silhouette. In a
nutshell we can say that it is change which revives MIS from the death-beds, and presently known by
the buzzword hidden cost or Total cost of Ownership.
In the present contemporary world, apart from change the thought-provoking terminology is business
which is a driving force behind change, and how to insight into trade is a dynamics called integration.
Organizations of the 1990's concentrated on the reengineering and redesign of their business
processes in order to uphold their competitive advantage. In order to endure in the 21st century,
organizations have started paying attention on integrating Management Information System rise-wide
technology solutions in an effort to progress their business processes. The principal aim of these
information technology solutions which had taken different shapes of an acronym in this technology
era has been in the area of a Management Information System s. The vision of an integrated
information systems started in the 1960s, evolving from the inventory tracking systems to Materials
Requirements Planning (MRP), and finally to MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM. At the moment,
more or less every organization integrates part or all of its business functions together to accomplish
higher effectiveness and yield.
An MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM implementation is a huge commitment from the organization,
causing millions of dollars and can engage in to several years to complete. On the other hand, when it
is integrated successfully, the benefits can be enormous. A well-designed and properly integrated
Management Information System allows the most updated information to be shared along with a
variety of business functions, by this means resulting in tremendous cost savings and augmented
effectiveness. When making the implementation decision, management must considered fundamental
issues such as the organizations readiness for a dramatic change, the degree of integration, key
business processes to be implemented, e-business applications to be built-in, and whether or not new
hardware need to be obtained. MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM is predominantly noteworthy for
companies who are confidentially connected to their vendors and customers. As a result, the
implementation of MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM is amazingly helpful to businesses such as
manufacturing plants that mass-produce products with little changes. Nevertheless, the groundbreaking and pioneering MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM software system rapidly expands into
other business areas such as finance and retailing. MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM also provides
companies with a competitive advantage over their competitors. There are certain components which
the books had highlighted; the foremost is its pragmatic approach which is making it diverse from the
synonymous title available in a market. The Book is well versed with Check-Your-Progress, Case studies,
etc. If we see the man-date behind the Cases it is an imperative characteristic of this class, but to be
victorious it relies on dynamic and consequential contribution of learners. Throughout the reading case
study process, learner should be prepared to contribute and present the analysis of these issues. In
this book we are using Appraisal wallet in place of Case study. The motive is to give learner and make
them comprehend with
Modus-operandi of implementing MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
Knowing about the Success and Failures of MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Able to Know Company and competitor background, facts, relevant technology, strategic
considerations, and should end by motivating and raising the key issues for conversation.

Rather than using the expression Students. I am using learners in place of that, as there is a
paradigm shift from Life-Long-Education [LLE] to Life-Long-Learning [LLL]. Today learning is two way,
even a good teacher can always be good students. However, due to the cost of these systems,
academia has not typically had the financial resources to introduce this topic in their courses on
anything except a superficial stage. Thus, academia has been sluggish to act in response to this trend
with textbooks suited to teaching the subject matter of MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM in the
classroom. This book pioneers the learner to Management Information System . The learner will
scrutinize the MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM market then experience an overview of one of
these by having a glimpse on different vendors. The learner will be introduced to an amalgamation of
modules of MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM and take delivery of basic hands-on experience with
certain exercises throughout the chapters. As a result, the learner will expand familiarity with
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM and finally the USP of a Book is its combination of functional and
technical issues. The book also provides a direct sightsee to exemplify how the various modules of the
Management Information System effort in totality. The screen shots used from the Management
Information System and the case study mode of the presentation makes this book actually worthwhile
for the learners, faculty members, and practitioners. Basically, it takes the mystery out of the
Management Information System and enables the reader to synchronies the functional and technical
part.
