Concept
Discrete jobs are created with a status of Unreleased. When you change the status to Released
you can perform transactions against it. You can release discrete jobs in the Discrete Jobs page.
When there are a large number of jobs to release, you can mass change the records in the
Discrete Jobs Summary page.
Releasing a discrete job with a routing automatically loads the job quantity into the Queue
intraoperation step of the first operation. It then can be built by issuing material requirements.
In this topic, you will use the Discrete Jobs page to release a job to perform transactions.

Step Action
1. Begin by navigating to the Discrete Jobs page.

2. Click the Discrete Jobs link.
Step Action
3. The Find Discrete Jobs page is used to search for existing jobs, or to create new
job records.
You can search for job records using any number of criteria including job number,
assembly, dates, and sales order numbers.

4. Click in the Jobs field.

5. Enter the desired information into the Jobs field. Enter "Job3567".

6. Click the Find button.
Step Action
7. The Discrete Jobs page is used to enter new job records; and also to view and
update existing jobs. The page contains six tabbed regions containing details on the
job record.

8. Click in the Status field.

9. Enter the desired information into the Status field. Enter "Released".

10. Click the Save button.
