Experience a very special Pilgrimage of the Himalayan Ashrams and Temples in Kumaon.
There are many ashrams in this area of the India Himalayas and we are perfectly placed to offer
you a comfortable, peaceful and welcoming place to stay as you visit these ashrams and temples
of historical and spiritual importance. Some ashrams do not have accommodation, or if they do,
they are often not as per the expectations of the visitors. Our Retreat, built on part of the
legendary ashram of Chyawan Rishi, is strategically located amidst the ashrams, and we can
facilitate and guide all guests staying with us. We will be very pleased to host the stay of those
desirous of visiting the ashrams of the famed Himalayan masters and the ancient temples in our
vicinity in Kumaon.

lovely retreat, sitting 1470 meters above sea level.

Haidakhan Babajis ashrams in:

Haidakhan village as the base of old Kailash mountain, near Kathgodam which sits 54 kms south
east from here.
Anandpuri Chilia Naula, near Ranikhet, at 61 kms north west from the Retreat.
Siddhashram in Sitlakhet, between Almora and Ranikhet, a little further away at 108 kms north.
Kathgarhia 36 kms south west from here.

Somvari Babas ashrams in Padampuri and Kakrighat, are both 40 kms from the
Retreat.

Nantin Babas ashram in Shyamkhet is 15 kms from here.

Bankhandi Babas ashram at Sattal Hidimba is also 15 kms from the accommodation.

Neem Karoli Babas ashram in Kainchi is 18 kms distance and the Hanuman Garhi
temple in Nainital is just 24 kilometers away.

Anandmayi Mas ashram in Almora stands 72 kms from the retreat Centre.

Shiva temple at Haidakhand Kailash peak, is a drive and walk of about six hours back
and forth.

Nag temple at Kharkotak peak, can take about five hours return journey and involves
driving and walking.

Naina Devi and Pashan Devi temple in Nainital are both just 22 kms from here.

Sheetla Mata Temple and Chitrashila ghat, which are both at Ranibagh, are only 15
kms from the Retreat.

Golju temple in Ghorakhal sits 18 kms from the Retreat.

Golju temple in Chitai is further at 72 kms from here.

Shiva temple in Jageshwar is the furthest away at 125 kilometers from the Retreat.

In one week it is possible cover all the above mentioned ashrams in the Indian Himalayas, but a
fortnight is much more preferable to do this pilgrimage.
