Senior Professional and executive with more than 13 years experience working for a NonGovernmental Organization, AIC (Abkhazintercont), as founder and Executive Director; and with
field experience as Project Coordinator for CARE Internationals project in the Racha-Lechkhumi
region (RDRL).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
2013 - 2014
Position: Project Coordinator

Food Security and Livelihood support through micro-grants and trainings to vulnerable
people in the Racha-Lechkhumi/Lower Svaneti and Samegrelo /Zemo Svaneti regions.

2009 - 2012
Position: Project Coordinator
Rural Development project in the Racha-Lechkhumi region of northern Georgia (Donor: Care
International) - Rural Development in Racha-Lechkhumi (RDRL), is funded by the Swiss Agency
for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Responsibilities:
1. Provide management of employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective
selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management.
2. Provide continued support and guidance to staff in development of the service provider
network for cattle farmers.
3. Ensure staff keeps the transversal themes of governance, gender and DRR integrated into
all activities.
4. Learn the Theory and Methodology with emphasis on the SDC and Springfield Institute
approach, and communicate this approach to other team members and partners and
review project activities through an M4P lens.
2006 - 2008
Position: Project Coordinator
IDP Community Integration Project (ICIP) - (Donor: CRS) Mobilized and held community
meetings in IDP collection centers; identify and select IDP elected members to participate on a

community working team. Assess and identify community problems and resolutions for each
center while supporting the economic sustainability of the community initiatives.
Responsibilities: Conducted business trainings for income-generation activities that focused on
two areas; skills training and building capacity to access small business opportunities.
Supervised community mobilizers. Supervised and advised IDPs in their selection of small
businesses; referred IDPs to AICs micro loan program.
2003 - 2006
Position: Project Coordinator
Community Mobilization and Improvement of Self-Reliance of Vulnerable Farmers in the
Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo-Svaneti Regions - (Donor: UNWFP)
The project was implemented in 15 communities in the Racha-Lechkhumi region. Micro-projects
covered the rehabilitation of pasture and hay-fields, construction of gabions, protection of the
arable lands and vineyards from flooding, the rehabilitation of roads to the pastures and fields.
Responsibilities: Supported vulnerable farmers through the implementation of micro-projects
that increased farm productivity. Identified and assessed problems, together with community
representatives, assisted in proposal development and submitted them to various funders for
approval. Responsible for implementing micro-projects during three phases during a six month
period.
2004
Position: Project Coordinator
Support for Farmers employed in Small Business of fruit manufacturing in the Racha Region
- (Donor: World Bank, Georgian Government) To build the capacity of fruit farmers, to improve
the quality and productivity and to enhance drying technology. Create (three) demonstration plots
in two communities in Ambrolauri.
Responsibilities: Created micro-enterprises for fruit processing and drying. Supervised
activities including: fencing, Spring-time pruning of fruit trees, use of organic fertilizer,
protection against freezing, harvesting and post-harvesting handling and storage. Conducted
seminars on new technologies for fruit growing and processing. Supervised the publication and
distribution of marketing materials and brochures to participants. Conducted cross-visits for 300
farmers to demonstration plots.
2002 2004
Position: Program Coordinator
Community Mobilization and improvement of social-economic conditions of community
representatives in the Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions (Donor: CARE International)
The micro-projects covered the rehabilitation of schools, water and electric supply systems and
the building of village out-patient clinics.
Responsibilities: Supervised community mobilizers in the three municipalities of Oni, Tsageri
and Ambrolauri in the Racha-Lechkhumi region. Supervised the selection of initiative groups
and assisted the registration of CBOs. Assisted these groups in problem identification and
prioritization, and advised them on the development of micro-project proposals for CAREs
Small Grant facility.
