Whatever your final career is, you can be sure that you
will come into daily contact with metals and will need to know
something of their properties. Art foundries specialize in
converting creative designs into bronze and other permanent
metallic materials. These designs are for the most part originated
in the studio using a modeling or construction material such as
clay or plaster. In addition to sculpture, art foundries also often
process architectural detail, furniture elements, interior/exterior
environmental design features and so on. In general, designs
destined for art foundry casting are referred to as `MASTER
PATTERNS or just plain `PATERNS. This term covers the whole
general range items sent to art foundries for casting and is used
frequently throughout this website instead of sculpture and other
descriptions to emphasize role PATTERNS play in the casting
process.

DISCUSSION
The wood pattern that we have done are not like as we
expected. Maybe it is because the time that has been given are
not enough and the machine cant cut the wood and follow the
design. We have to manually shaping the wood to be like as we
designed. When cutting the wood with the cutting machine, the
woods dust when all over the body. Luckily we follow safety
precaution by wearing eye protection and nose mask to covering
our eye and nose getting injured. We have to be gentle to operate
the jigsaw machine because the blade can be broken if too much
pressure are exerted to it. We have to change our design when we
know that our design is not going to succeed at last minute, and
we have changed it without any problem.
